Arkansas vs. Texas A&M Preview, Stats and Trends
The Arkansas Razorbacks find themselves sitting in the top ten in the country after going 3-0 to start the season. They are producing points at an insane rate as they are averaging 37.7 per game.
Their quarterback KJ Jefferson has been the leader of this Arkansas offense all season long. He has tallied 770 yards with six touchdowns so far this season. As a leader of this offense, Jefferson must handle the hype and pressure of the big stage to keep his team’s momentum going.
Arkansas will have to clean up the defensive side of the ball as they are currently allowing an average of 421 yards of offense to their opponents. If the Razorbacks are to stay atop the SEC West, they must improve on the defensive side of the ball.
Texas A&M has an opportunity to get themselves right back into the SEC championship mix. They are looking to finish this week at 1-0 in the conference. With a 2-1 overall record, the SEC Championship may be their only route to a potential College Football Playoff berth.
The Aggies play a controlled game. They are averaging 20 points per game this season. Running back Devon Achane has been a staple in the A&M offense all year long. He currently has 196 yards rushing with two touchdowns on 46 carries.
