Our first Wild Card weekend game kicks off on Saturday afternoon on January 15th. The Las Vegas Raiders head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals after beating the Chargers. The Raiders had a fantastic end to their season, winning four straight games.

Now, we'll see if their hard work will translate into a playoff win. Beating the Bengals' dynamic offense won't be easy.

The Cincinnati Bengals ended the season at the top of the AFC North. However, their record wasn't good enough for them to earn a bye week. Taking on the Las Vegas Raiders is something the Bengals are familiar with.

They faced them in week 11 and throttled the Raiders 32-13. Could we see a repeat of that performance on Saturday? Or are we in for an upset?

Raiders at Bengals Preview for Wild Card Round

The Las Vegas Raiders have a lot to prove in this game. The last time they took on the Bengals, they fell flat and performed poorly. This game gives them a chance to rewrite the script with much larger implications.

The main thing they need to focus on is shutting down Joe Burrow. Burrow is the leader and focal point of the offense; shut him down, and you stop Cincinnati.

On the offensive side, we'd really like to see the running game used more. The Raiders average just 95.12 rushing yards per game, ranking 28th in the NFL. If they were to focus on moving the ball with the run, they could control the clock better.

The last thing they want to do is allow Cincinnati more opportunities to score. If they want to win this one, running the ball is necessary.

One thing we really enjoy about the Bengals is their youth. They have so much intensity, and it boils over into the way they play each week. Obviously, their passing attack ranks as one of the best in the NFL, averaging 259.00 yards per game.

They'll use this passing offense to stretch the Raiders' defense. More importantly, they'll focus on getting Ja'Marr Chase open downfield.

Considering they're already familiar with the Raiders offense, don't expect much to change on defense Saturday. The Bengals' passing defense isn't great, but overall they only allow 20.89 points per game.

They also only allowed the Raiders to score 13 points in their first meeting. Everyone knows that the Bengals' offense creates great defense.

Raiders at Bengals Prediction

Raiders 17 - Bengals 28

The Raiders will be playing in 21-degree weather on Saturday, something they aren't familiar with. The passing game won't work nearly as well for them, which means they'll need to run the ball.

Since they haven't focused on establishing the run-game all year, it'll likely perform poorly. The Bengals, on the other hand, are familiar with playing in the cold and will pass the ball regardless.

The Raiders are also 8-2 against the spread in their last ten against Las Vegas. This season, the Bengals have gone 10-7 ATS with a 4-5 ATS home record. In their last five games, they've covered the spread four times.

Considering they'll only need to cover a 6-point spread, we'll take the Cincinnati Bengals in this one.

EXTRA POINTS

1. The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Cincinnati's last 11 games against Las Vegas.

2. Cincinnati is 6-0 ATS in their last six games when playing at home against Las Vegas.

3. The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Las Vegas' last six games.
