Jackson State | -120 | -1.5 (-110) | O (-110) |
South Carolina State | +100 | +1.5 (-110) | U (-110) |
The Cricket Celebration Bowl kicks off the 2024-25 College Football Bowl season. This game began in 2015, and it features the champions of the SWAC vs. the MEAC.
This year, the Jackson State Tigers (11-2) will battle the South Carolina State Bulldogs (9-2). The Tigers won their third SWAC title in the last four years.
The Tigers open as a -1.5 point favorite and have gone 0-2 in their last two trips to the Celebration Bowl. Those appearances came in 2021 and 2022 when they were coached by Deion Sanders.
For South Carolina State, this will be their second appearance in the Celebration Bowl. They played in 2021 and defeated Jackson State by the score of 31-10.
Will the Tigers get revenge against South Carolina State or will the Bulldogs celebrate another bowl victory over Jackson State?
IS4S Salute To Veterans Bowl

South Alabama | -380 | -10 (-110) | O 54.5 (-110) |
Western Michigan | +300 | +10 (-110) | U 54.5 (-110) |
South Alabama Jaguars (6-6) will make their third Bowl Game appearance in a row and the 5th ever in Jaguars’ school history. Last year, the Jaguars won their first Bowl Game last year in the 68 Ventures Bowl by crushing Eastern Michigan. They look to do the same to Western Michigan this year.
The Western Michigan Broncos (6-6) finished fifth in the MAC and didn’t become bowl eligible until their final game of the season when they defeated their rivals – the previously mentioned Eastern Michigan Eagles.
This marks the 12th bowl game in school history. Their most recent bowl appearance came in the Quick Lane Bowl three years ago. They beat Nevada 52-24 for the team’s second ever bowl victory.
This will be the first time that the Broncos and Jaguars have played against each other. South Alabama enters as a large betting favorite despite holding the same record.
Which team will pick up the big bowl victory on December 14?
The AAC’s #25 ranked Memphis Tigers (10-2) will battle the Big 12’s West Virginia Mountaineers in the eighth annual Frisco Bowl.
For West Virginia, this is their fourth bowl game in the last five years. The team had an up-and-down season in the Big 12 but was able to secure bowl eligibility despite the inconsistent season. WVU went 5-4 in conference play and boasts a Top 30 rushing attack.
The Tigers are bowl eligible for the 11th year in a row and led by senior quarterback Seth Henigan who is the AAC’s all-time leading passer. Memphis has the longest bowl streak of the non-Power 4 teams.
It’s the second straight year that they have played a Big 12 team in a bowl game. Last year, the Tigers beat Iowa State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The Tigers have won five consecutive bowl appearances.
This will be the first time that these two schools have ever played each other. Can the Tigers keep their bowl winning streak alive or will the Mountaineers pick up a big win for interim coach Chad Scott?
Boca Raton Bowl

Western Kentucky | +235 | +7.5 (-110) | O 53.5 (-110) |
James Madison | -290 | -7.5 (-110) | U 53.5 (-110) |
The James Madison Dukes (8-4) finished their third season in the FBS with a 4-4 record in the Sun Belt East Division. Their 2024 season was highlighted by a massive victory at North Carolina where they put up 70 points on a so-called better team.
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (8-5) finished runner-up in Conference USA after losing to Jacksonville State in the conference’s title game. They finished 6-2 in conference play and actually defeated Jacksonville in the regular season.
Western Kentucky has two prior appearances in the Boca Raton Bowl. They defeated Memphis in 2016, and Appalachian State in 2021. They’re tied with Florida Atlantic for the most wins in this bowl with two.
The 2024 Boca Raton Bowl game will be the first time that these two teams have played against each other and just the second time that JMU has played a Conference USA team.
The Dukes enter this matchup via royal treatment from the sportsbooks. Can JMU win by a touchdown or will the Hilltoppers top their opponent in the 11th Boca Raton Bowl?
Art of Sport LA Bowl

California | -125 | -2.5 (-110) | O 51.5 (-110) |
UNLV | +105 | +2.5 (-110) | U 51.5 (-110) |
What’s more exciting: a matchup between Cal and UNLV or that this bowl game is hosted by Rob Gronkowski?
The Cal Golden Bears (6-6) went 2-6 in their inaugural season of the ACC. So, it’s rather surprising that Cal is the slight favorite for this matchup. These two teams last played against each other in 2022, and the Golden Bears won that game 20-14 in Berkeley.
The UNLV Rebels (10-3) are competing in consecutive bowl games for the first time in school history. In fact, this is just the program’s 6th bowl appearance ever. They’re 3-2 in bowl games.
The Rebels had a solid 2024 season as they were one of the top teams in the Mountain West Conference. Unfortunately, they came up short in the MWC title game when they lost to the Boise State Broncos.
Can the Golden Bears punctuate their season with a bowl victory or will the Rebels run all over Cal in the 4th edition of this bowl game?

Georgia Southern | -205 | -5.5 (-110) | O 46.5 (-110) |
Sam Houston State | +170 | +5.5 (-110) | U 46.5 (-110) |
The Georgia Southern Eagles (8-4) will head to a bowl game for the third year in a row as they take on the Sam Houston Bearkats (9-3).
This marks the first time that these two teams have ever played against each other. And, it’s the Eagles that are soaring into the 24th annual New Orleans Bowl as the betting favorites after a solid run in the Sun Belt Conference this year.
The Bearkats went 9-3 overall and 6-2 in Conference USA this year. They were a surprise revelation in the CUSA after leaving the FCS in 2022. This is their first year of bowl eligibility, which means it’s also their first-ever bowl game.
Sam Houston will play this game without their head coach who ditched the team to take the head coaching job at Temple earlier this month. Regardless of the outcome, this game is a landmark moment in the program’s history.
Will the Eagles soar to victory as expected or will the Bearkats claw their way to a historic victory?

Ohio | -125 | -2.5 (-110) | O 52 (-110) |
Jacksonville State | +1-5 | +2.5 (-110) | U 52 (-110) |
The 10th annual Cure Bowl will feature the MAC champion Ohio Bobcats (10-3) versus the CUSA champion Jacksonville State Gamecocks (9-4). Interestingly, both teams won their conference title games by blowouts and were able to rest players for this bowl game.
For the Bobcats, they won their first MAC title game since 1968. It was definitely a moment of celebration for the school and students alike. It’s also their 16th bowl appearance as they have won five consecutive bowl games.
Jax State is making their second ever bowl game in just its second ever FBS season. They played in the New Orleans Bowl last year and beat Louisiana in an OT thriller.
The Cure Bowl is one of our sentimental favorites as it promotes awareness and research for breast cancer. The Camping World Stadium will be donned in pink and both teams will also celebrate this cause with their appearances.
Can the Gamecocks pick up their second ever bowl victory or will the Bobcats get their sixth bowl win in a row?

Florida | -450 | -11.5 (-110) | U 50.5 (-110) |
The Florida Gators (7-5) didn’t have quite the season that fans hoped they would, especially after going just 4-4 in the SEC. However, they’re heading to their ninth bowl game in the last 11 years.
It’s also the second time that they have played in the Gasparilla Bowl. Their first appearance came in 2021, when Florida lost 29-17 to UCF. The Gators have played in 48 bowl games to date, and they hold an all-time record of 24-24.
The Tulane Green Wave (9-4) finish 7-1 in the AAC and came up short in the AAC Championship game when they lost to the Army Black Knights.
Despite the loss, the Green Wave will make their 22nd bowl game appearance. Unfortunately, they match up against Florida who holds a 13-6-2 mark in this series. Additionally, the Gators have won 11 in a row against Tulane.
Can the Green Wave crush Florida in Tampa or will the Gators win their 12th consecutive game against Tulane?

The #6 Penn State Nittany Lions (11-2) will host the #11 SMU Mustangs in the second game of the CFP opening round. Both teams are coming off losses in their respective Conference Championship games.
PSU fell short in their question to upend #1 Oregon in the Big Ten Championship, while the Mustangs came up short in their rally to defeat Clemson in the ACC Championship.
These two teams have played against each other three times and PSU holds the 1-0-1 advantage. However, their last game against each other was in 1978. Their first matchup took place in 1947 and ended in a 13-13 tie.

Both teams failed to make their conference championship games but they still accomplished enough during the regular season to qualify for the CFP field of 12.
This is the second time that these two teams have played against each other. Their only head-to-head battle came in the 1996 Citrus Bowl where the Vols defeated the Buckeyes by the score of 20-14.

The AAC’s UTSA Roadrunners (6-6) and the Sun Belt’s Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (6-6) both come into the 5th annual Myrtle Beach Bowl with .500 records and looking to close out the season with a big win.
UTSA won three of its last four games on the season and will compete in their fifth consecutive bowl game, sixth overall. They’re the odds-on favorites to win this game against the Chanticleers.
Ironically, the game will be played at the home stadium of Coastal Carolina, which could give them a big advantage even if UTSA fans fill the stadium.
Can UTSA win its sixth straight bowl game or will Coastal Carolina use their home field as a big advantage to score the upset victory?

The Bulldogs will make their fourth consecutive trip to a bowl game after going 4-3 in the MWC. This will also be the fourth time that Fresno State has played a bowl game in Boise.

These two teams have actually played once before. It came in 2017, and South Florida won 42-22. The 2024 Hawaii Bowl marks the second time San Jose has played in this bowl game and the first time for South Florida.
The Spartans closed out the regular season with a victory but the Bulls lost in their season finale. Will San Jose carry that momentum into this Bowl Game and pick up the win or will the Bulls beat the Spartans for a second time?

This game marks the second time that Rutgers has played in the Rate Bowl. Their first appearance came in 2005, when they defeated Arizona State. At the time, the game was called the Insight Bowl.
It also marks the second time that these two teams have played against each other. The first time came in the 2006 Texas Bowl when the Scarlet Knights crushed the Wildcats 37-10 and finished off their season with an 11-2 record.

Navy | +235 | +8.5 (-110) | U 46.5 (-110) |
With the way they played in the SEC this year, the Oklahoma Sooners (6-6) were lucky to make a bowl game. They went 2-6 in conference play and only became bowl eligible due to a shocking upset over Alabama Crimson Tide which kept the latter out of the CFP.
The AAC’s Navy Midshipmen went 8-3 on the year and 6-2 in conference action. The Midshipmen started off the year 6-0 before going 2-3 over their final five games. Two of those losses were to ranked foes Notre Dame and Tulane.
The 22nd edition of this bowl game marks Navy’s 25th bowl appearance (12-11-1) and third time in this bowl game. They are 1-1 in this game, which is formerly known as the Armed Forces Bowl.
This is just the second time these two programs have played each other. Navy won the first encounter 10-0 in 1965. This is the first time that the Midshipmen have faced an SEC team in a bowl game. Oklahoma is making their 26th consecutive bowl appearance and 58th overall (31-25-1).
Will the Sooners prove to be too much for the Midshipmen or will Navy pick up an landmark bowl win over Oklahoma?

Colorado State | +100 | +1.5 (-110) | U 43.5 (-110) |
This is quite possibly the funniest bowl game name on the docket for the 2024-25 College Football Bowl Season. Although this is the ninth annual Arizona Bowl, live from Tucson’s Arizona Stadium, it’s the first year that Snoop Dogg was a titled sponsor.
This year’s edition will pit the Miami RedHawks (8-5) of the MAC against the Colorado State Rams (8-4) of the Mountain West.
Miami has never appeared in the Arizona Bowl before, but this will be their fourth consecutive bowl appearance and 16th overall.
For Colorado State, they are making a bowl game for the first time since 2017, when they lost to Marshall in the New Mexico Bowl. This will be their second trip to the Arizona Bowl as they lost in the inaugural edition to Nevada in 2015.
The Rams are 6-11 in bowl games heading into this clash against the RedHawks. Unfortunately, they’ve lost four bowl games in a row.
Can Miami soar above the Rams for a solid bowl win or will Colorado State pick up their first bowl victory since 2013?

The 15th annual Military Bowl will see the AAC’s East Carolina Pirates (7-5) battle the ACC’s NC State Wolfpack (6-6) live from Navy’s home stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
You could say that both the Pirates and Wolfpack are going bowling this year as they both narrowly qualified for a bowl appearance. It also marks the 33rd time that these two teams have faced each other. A rivalry that dates back to 1970, which NC State leads 19-13.
For the Wolfpack, this is their 36th bowl appearance (17-17-1). Although they have never appeared in the bowl before, they have played at this venue one time. NC State beat Navy in 2002.
The Pirates are returning to a bowl game after missing out last season and have a 10-11 record in their 21 bowl appearances. ECU has qualified for the Military Bowl two times before: losing in 2010, and having the 2021 game cancelled due to covid.
On another note, ECU has defeated NC State in their lone bowl game against each other. The Pirates won the 1992 Peach Bowl over the Wolfpack.
Will NC State get revenge and extend their lead in this series or will ECU pillage the Wolfpack for another bowl victory?

The 48th annual Independence Bowl pits the Sun Belt champion Marshall Thundering Herd (10-3) against the AAC’s champion Army Black Knights (11-1). This is one of the only bowl games, outside of the CFP, where two conference champions will play against each other.
This game marks just the second time that these two teams have faced each other. Their lone encounter came in 1997, where Marshall picked up the 35-25 victory.
The Thundering Herd will make their Independence Bowl debut, but it also marks their eight consecutive bowl appearance and 20th overall (13-7).
The Black Knights return to a bowl game for the first time in three years. They’re 7-3 overall in their 10 bowl games and have one appearance in the Independence Bowl. Army lost to Auburn 32-29 in the 1996 Independence Bowl.
Will the Black Knights cap off a stellar season that almost had them in the CFP or will Marshall stampede Army on the way to their second bowl win in their last six postseason games?

The 39th annual ReliaQuest Bowl, which was formerly called the Outback Bowl from 1996 to 2022, will feature the most frustrated team in College Football – Alabama Crimson Tide (9-3). The SEC powerhouse will take on the Michigan Wolverines (7-5) of the Big Ten.
This game marks the seventh time that these iconic programs have played against each other. It’s also a rematch of last year’s Rose Bowl where Michigan defeated Alabama on their way to winning the National Championship. Both teams have three wins apiece in this series.
The Crimson Tide were outraged over not making the College Football Playoffs this year. In fact, they’re threatening to change up their schedule in the future because of it.
Alabama will play in their 78th bowl game (46-28-3), while Michigan makes its 53rd bowl appearance 23-29). The Wolverines have played in six Outback Bowl games and have a 3-3 record. In fact, Michigan beat Alabama in the 1988 edition of this game when it was called the Hall of Fame Bowl. The Crimson Tide are 1-1 in this bowl game.
