The Broncos finished the 2025 regular season 14-3, 8-1 at home and 6-2 on the road. They scored 401 points and allowed 311. Their biggest win was 28-3 at home to the Bengals, and their heaviest defeat 34-20 at home to the Jaguars. In the playoffs they beat the Bills 33-30.

Denver Broncos history

The Denver Broncos have a storied history that spans decades. Founded in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL), the team struggled in its early years, often finishing at the bottom of the league. However, the merger with the National Football League (NFL) in 1970 marked a turning point.

The Broncos began to establish themselves as a competitive force in the 1970s, with their first winning season occurring in 1973. The team experienced significant success throughout the 1980s, led by the legendary quarterback John Elway. Although they reached multiple Super Bowls during this era, they were unable to secure a championship.

It wasn’t until the 1990s that the Broncos finally achieved their ultimate goal. With Elway at the helm and under the guidance of coach Mike Shanahan, the team captured back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999. This golden era cemented the Broncos’ place as one of the NFL’s premier franchises.

The arrival of Peyton Manning in 2012 reignited the franchise. Manning, a future Hall of Famer, brought his exceptional leadership and precision passing to Denver. In 2013, the Broncos clinched their first Super Bowl victory since the Elway era, with Manning earning Super Bowl MVP honors. This championship marked a resurgence for the team and solidified Denver’s status as a perennial contender.

While the team has experienced fluctuations in success since their Super Bowl glory days, the Broncos remain a beloved and passionate organization with a dedicated fan base.
