Happy Gilmore 2 is no longer just a figment of my imagination. Adam Sandler is returning to one of his most iconic roles, and it sounds like he’s getting the band back together, too.
Per reports, Sandler has already pieced together an initial Happy Gilmore 2 script, and his arch nemesis from the original movie is going to be part of it.

When Will Happy Gilmore 2 Be Released?
Nobody knows for sure when Happy Gilmore 2 will arrive. We just know that it’s actually happening.
Adam Sandler has come out and admitted as much, but the actor who played Shooter McGavin also admitted in an interview that Sandler handed him a completed first script for the sequel.
This thing is happening, but it’s anyone’s guess if it actually gets made anytime soon. Considering a rough draft of the script has been created, it would make sense that it would get signed off on in due time, and eventually production would begin.
However, there can be a lot of red tape between a script and actually getting everyone under contract. News only broke about a Happy Gilmore sequel in May of 2024, so it could be a while before the finished product hits theaters.
Until we start hearing a lot more positive news about Happy Gilmore 2, I’d bet on it arriving well past a year from now. This also feels like a summer blockbuster, so positioning it for a 2025 summer release makes a lot of sense.
Bet: After Dec 31st, 2025 (-125)
What Celebrities Will Appear in Happy Gilmore 2?
Adam Sandler films can be quite the draw for celebrities. He’s one of the most famous comedic actors of all-time, so that should shock nobody.
You normally don’t forget the celebrity cameos Sandler movies enjoy, either. There are varying levels of celebrity cameos in Adam Sandler films, ranging from former SNL brethren like Rob Schneider and Tim Meadows to Bob Barker and Shaquille O’Neal.
Sandler has also convinced some huge musicians to share the screen with him, with Billy Idol being the most memorable.
If you go back and look at his many movies, Adam Sandler can’t help but include at least one cameo seemingly every time out. What actually qualifies as a celebrity cameo is up to the betting site you use, but BetUS is hosting all of these Happy Gilmore 2 props and they list Allen Covert as an option.
He isn’t one I’d say is a true celebrity cameo, but he’s a friend of Sandler’s and has been in a ton of his movies as bit characters. He was also in the first Happy Gilmore, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see him pop up again, even if it’s as a totally different character.
Other options like Ben Stiller (-250) and Charles Barkley (+400) could be fun for different reasons, but if Covert is an option, this feels like easy money.
Bet: Allen Covert (-350)
Will a PGA Tour Golfer Appear in the Happy Gilmore Sequel?
Obviously Happy Gilmore was a movie about a failed hockey player that thrived in the golf world. Because of that, it’s pretty likely that Happy Gilmore will again be centered around golf in some manner.
The actual Happy Gilmore plot has been kept under wraps, but if we can assume Adam Sandler will hit the green again, logic suggests he’ll also be running into some famous PGA Tour talent.
Tiger Woods is a reasonable bet and comes in with EVEN odds, but he’s a pretty high profile (and busy) guy. I wouldn’t rule it out, but I’d aim a bit higher with someone like Scottie Schefler, who is presently the #1 golfer in the entire world.
When shooting starts and ends could play into this, but it’s a fairly unpredictable Happy Gilmore prop bet. If you have to assume some risk, it makes sense to target a viable bet that returns a bit more value. The +250 price tag on Scheffler allows you to do just that.
Bet: Scottie Scheffler +250
Will Zalatoris Appear as a Caddy?
There is a running joke that star golfer Will Zalatoris is getting ready to “reprise” his role as Happy’s notorious caddy from the original movie.
It’s a joke that went viral, due to the mild resemblance between Zalatoris and the original actor, Jared Van Snellenberg.
This feels like a fun bet worth taking a shot on, simply because the producers will surely know about this viral joke, and at least consider making good on it.
If you’re a fan of golf and like Happy Gilmore, you’d quickly connect the dots. If even for a brief moment, showing Will Zalatoris as Happy’s caddy would produce quite the belly laugh from the crowd.
You can play it safe and bet on this Happy Gilmore 2 prop bet at -300 odds, but I’d roll the dice here.
Bet: Yes +200
What Will Happen in Happy Gilmore 2?
Again, we don’t have much to work with just yet. The script has been written, but nobody but some of the cast and producers know what’s in it. More importantly, it could be completely re-worked or significantly edited, so even if there are Happy Gilmore 2 leaks, we’re still in the dark.
That said, BetUS is allowing you to bet on what will happen in the Happy Gilmore sequel. A lot of the options are fairly general, too, so there seem to be some safe paths to take.
Right now the favored event is that Happy Gilmore 2 offers a cameo from a real life Major player. That feels like a gimme bet at EVEN, and it’s one I’d happily make. However, I always am seeking out betting value, regardless of the market, so I prefer to target Happy in a Major.
Bet: Happy to Play in a Major (+400)
What Will Happen First in Happy Gilmore 2?
You can bet on what will happen in Happy Gilmore 2, while there are also bets for what might happen first.
There are a few options available at online betting sites, but the best are that he gets injured or that he hits a slapshot. Both are very much in play, but Happy getting hurt is the favored bet at +200.
That is far from a lock to be the very first thing we see, though, Considering his background and infatuation with hockey, I wouldn’t be shocked at all if the second Happy Gilmore movie opened with our favorite character on an ice rink.
Happy is known for his hard slapshots, so I’ll target that at a cool +275 price tag.
Bet: Happy Hits a Slapshot +275
Will We Get a Happy Gilmore vs. Shooter McGavin Rematch?
The odds favor another Happy vs. Shooter showdown. That is what the first film was centered around, while the fact that Adam Sandler handed Christopher McDonald a script suggests he’s going to play a key role in the sequel.
Obviously that could be anything, but if fans are gearing up for a Happy Gilmore 2, a total deviation from what made the original so great might be a mistake.
The stakes could get raised at a huge Major or even the Ryder Cup, but one way or another, I envision these two facing off. Heck, perhaps it’s just a side game that they do on their own away from the fans.
There is value in betting against this (+155), but it’s what the fans want.
Bet: Yes -220
What Will Shooter McGavin Do First?
Speaking of Shooter, you can bet on what he will do first in Happy Gilmore 2. He has some iconic mannerisms, but the two that lead the way are doing a no-look put or popping his collar.
Personally, I’d have thought Shooter doing his coined gun fingers would have made the cut.
Whatever the case, you can bet on what’s available, and at +110, popping his collar is the call for me.
I think both have a decent chance of happening, but a no-look putt is tied strictly to a putt. Meanwhile, he could pop his collar in literally any situation and you’re getting that bet at plus money.
Bet: Pop Collar +110
Which Happy Gilmore 2 Broadcaster Will Be Heard First?
The last Happy Gilmore 2 prop bet is which on-air personality is heard talking first. Jim Nantz (+125) and David Feherty (+300) are also in play, but Dan Patrick (EVEN) feels like the safer bet.
Patrick is obviously known for his sports broadcasting, but he also has more on camera experience in TV shows and movies.
That could make him the more likely actor to show up in this sequel, while it’s also quite arguable that he has the most recognizable appearance and voice of this trio.
Bet: Dan Patrick EVEN
Betting on What Will Happen in Happy Gilmore 2
Are you crazy for placing bets on what will happen in the Happy Gilmore sequel? Perhaps, but to be frank, there are a lot of wagers that feel like total home runs.
For the Happy Gilmore prop bets that don’t feel as obvious, I’d suggest either avoiding them, or just chase a little upside with a bet that offers more value, but still makes sense.
