2026 so far
West Virginia is 3-0 and has won three straight. After Coastal Carolina it beat UT Martin 52-7, a team outside the FBS, and then beat Virginia 38-27 at a neutral site on 19 September. Against its two FBS opponents it has scored 34.5 a game and allowed 25.5.
Oklahoma State is 2-1. After the loss at Tulsa it beat Oregon 39-31 at home and Murray State 59-0. Against its two FBS opponents it has scored 24.5 a game and allowed 27.5.
The Oregon result is the one piece of this season that argues for Oklahoma State. It came at home, and it is not in the road sample.
Last season
Oklahoma State went 1-11 in 2025, 0-11 against FBS teams, and was outscored by 19.2 points a game. West Virginia went 4-8, was 3-3 at home, and was outscored by 9.1 a game.
