San Francisco Giants vs. Milwaukee Brewers Preview and Predictions 07-14-2019 in MLB
The Milwaukee Brewers played like a desperate team Saturday, putting forth two dramatic rallies before walking off with a much-needed win. They'll try to carry over some momentum from that victory when they play the visiting San Francisco Giants in the rubber match of a three-game set Sunday afternoon.
The Giants took the series opener in extra innings, sending Milwaukee to its 16th loss in 24 games, but the Brewers scored three times in the eighth inning Saturday and - after coughing up a lead in the top of the ninth - put up another in the bottom half for their third walk-off victory of the year. The win kept Milwaukee within 1 1/2 games of the first-place Chicago Cubs in the National League Central. Jesus Aguilar, a disappointment for much of the season after a breakout 2018 for the Brewers, keyed the go-ahead rally in the eighth with an RBI double and is 10-for-17 with seven RBIs during a five-game hitting streak. He and his teammates will take aim at San Francisco right-hander Tyler Beede on Sunday, while the Brewers counter with Jhoulys Chacin.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Giants RH Tyler Beede (2-3, 5.64 ERA) vs. Brewers RH Jhoulys Chacin (3-9, 5.40)
Beede is coming off the best start of his career after giving up one run and four hits in a personal-best seven innings at San Diego on July 2. He did not walk a batter in that outing after issuing 28 free passes in 37 2/3 innings over his first nine appearances. The former first-round pick will be facing the Brewers for the first time.
Chacin is showing signs of regaining his 2018 form with back-to-back solid starts. He let up a run in five innings against Pittsburgh on June 28 before limiting Cincinnati to two runs over six frames with a season-high eight strikeouts on July 3. Buster Posey is 12-for-34 with a homer against Chacin, who owns a 3.11 ERA in 22 career meetings (21 starts) with the Giants.
1. The Brewers selected the contract of RHP Jay Jackson from Triple-A San Antonio and optioned SS Mauricio Dubon to San Antonio.
2. Giants 3B Evan Longoria is 12-for-32 with six homers and 13 RBIs over a nine-game stretch.
3. Milwaukee 2B Keston Hiura is 5-for-8 with a home run, two doubles, two walks, three RBIs and two runs scored in the series.
