Boston College Searching for Stability

UConn Looking to Keep Momentum
While Boston College struggles to find consistency, UConn is trending upward. The Huskies have won three straight games heading into this rivalry matchup and look refreshed following their bye week.
Coach Jim Mora’s squad is coming off a 51-10 thrashing of FIU, a performance that featured five defensive takeaways and five sacks. Quarterback Joe Fagnano threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns in the victory, connecting twice with leading receiver Skyler Bell.
Running back Cam Edwards has been the workhorse for UConn’s offense. He ranks ninth nationally with 106.2 rushing yards per game and has found the end zone seven times this season. Mora praised Edwards’ toughness, calling him “the identity of our team — tough, dependable, and blue-collar.”
UConn’s defense has also found its rhythm, forcing eight turnovers in its last two games. The Huskies rank 16th nationally in turnover margin and 21st in scoring defense, allowing only 19.7 points per game during their win streak.
In their last meeting in 2023, Boston College edged UConn 21-14, but the Huskies won the 2022 matchup — their only win in the series — during Mora’s first year in charge.
