Matt Turner looks to help the New England Revolution extend their winning streak when the Eastern Conference leaders host the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night.

Turner was voted the MLS Player of the Week after his seven-save performance in a 3-2 comeback road win over New York City FC on Saturday.

The Revs (6-1-2, 20 points) have won a season-high four straight games and trail the unbeaten Seattle Sounders by one point for the top spot in the league.

The Revolution were 3-1 winners in their first meeting of the season against the Red Bulls on May 22. Gustavo Bou, Tajon Buchanan and Adam Buksa all scored for New England while Andres Reyes had the lone tally for New York.

"We know that they play direct. We know that they like to battle, tackle. So we're going to have to be up for a physical game," Turner said. "This is no game to take our foot off the gas."

New York (4-4-0, 12 points) is seeking its first three-match winning streak since 2018 following a 2-1 win over Orlando City SC on May 29 and a 2-0 victory against Nashville SC last Friday.

It is the first of three straight road matches for the Red Bulls. New York is 0-3-0 away from home this season and has lost five consecutive road matches overall, its longest skid since a six-game road losing streak back in 2017.

New York has won just two of its last 30 games at New England (including playoffs), going 2-19-9.

"We've got some big weeks coming up. We want to grab (as many) points as possible. We want to get that first away win," Red Bulls defender Sean Nealis told the team's website. "I think this next week is big for us."

New York Red Bulls vs. New England Revolution

The New England Revolution and the visiting New York Red Bulls exchanged first-half goals in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Omir Fernandez put New York ahead in the 35th minute, while Gustavo Bou equalized for the Revs six minutes later.

The Revolution (2-1-5, 11 points) made a final push in the closing minutes, particularly after New York was reduced to 10 men in stoppage time. Tim Parker was ejected in the 93rd minute after being issued a straight red card for a foul on Tajon Buchanan.

The Revolution extended their unbeaten streak to seven (2-0-5) regular-season games.

New England led New York 14-8 in total shots and 5-4 in shots on goal.

Despite the pressure, both clubs continued to show an inconsistent inability to finish. The Red Bulls and Revolution each have seven goals scored over eight games, and each team has only one multi-goal game this season.

After being shut out three times in their previous four games, the Red Bulls (3-3-2, 11 points) made eight lineup changes from their previous game, a 1-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union on Tuesday.

The revamped starting 11 delivered some early results, as two of the new additions combined on New York's goal. A nice passing play between Red Bulls homegrown players Fernandez and Benjamin Mines led to Fernandez's first goal of the season.

In the 41st minute, Cristian Penilla sent a midfield pass to Teal Bunbury, who had plenty of space on the right side to race toward net. Bunbury passed to a trailing Bou, who buried the chance for the tying goal.

It was Bou's second consecutive game with a goal, and his third overall score of the season.

Bou had four total shots in the game, and came close to scoring on two other occasions. The forward's nicely-placed header required a Ryan Meara save in the 27th minute, and Bou fired a hard shot off the post in the 66th minute.
