FC Cincinnati Put Sterling Home Record on Line vs. FC Dallas
FC Cincinnati will look to protect their unbeaten home record on Wednesday when they welcome FC Dallas to TQL Stadium. After back-to-back away setbacks, including a frustrating 4-2 loss at Atlanta United on Sunday, Cincinnati is eager to reset on familiar ground.
Cincinnati (9-4-2, 29 points) were hoping to climb into first place in the Eastern Conference last weekend, but defensive lapses and an early injury to veteran defender Nick Hagglund proved costly. Hagglund sustained two broken ribs and a collapsed lung after an on-field collision and required surgery, with another procedure still pending.

“Maybe it threw us off a little bit,” said FCC head coach Pat Noonan. “The way that we conceded the first goal… you lose that rhythm and then they capitalized on the aftermath of that.”
Home Fortress vs. Road Woes
Despite recent struggles, FC Cincinnati’s home form remains pristine — they’re 5-0-1 at TQL Stadium in MLS play this season. That should provide a confidence boost against an FC Dallas team currently trending in the opposite direction.
Dallas (4-6-4, 16 points) fell 1-0 to the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, giving up a late penalty in the 86th minute. It was a tough result for a team that hasn’t won in its last four matches across all competitions. Their last MLS victory came back on April 27.

“Just to lose on that goal, on the penalty it is hard to swallow,” Dallas coach Eric Quill said. “The effort and the fight was there.”
