The Los Angeles Sparks continue their late push for the playoffs when they host the Indiana Fever Friday night at Crypto.com Arena. Los Angeles (17-19) sits 1.5 games behind Seattle for the final postseason berth but holds three games in hand, giving them a path to control their own destiny.

Indiana (20-18) is holding strong in the No. 6 seed after a dominant home win over Seattle but will be tested on a crucial three-game West Coast swing.

Los Angeles Can Win If…
Their offense continues producing at a high clip while the defense tightens just enough. The Sparks average 86.3 ppg — second in the league — but allow a league-worst 88.5 ppg. In Tuesday’s 92-84 loss to Phoenix, their perimeter defense was exposed as the Mercury shot 11-of-25 from three.
“That’s where the difference in the game is,” Sparks coach Lynne Roberts said. “We’re scrapping for our lives … we’re all playing for something.”
Kelsey Plum (20.4 ppg) will need another big scoring night, but the key will be closing out shooters and limiting Indiana’s second-chance points.
Indiana Can Win If…
They replicate their effort from Tuesday’s 95-75 win over Seattle. Aliyah Boston dominated with 27 points in 27 minutes, while Odyssey Sims (22) and Kelsey Mitchell (21) provided balance. The Fever crushed the Storm on the glass 42-21, showing the formula for winning on the road.
“I felt like this was as close to 40 minutes as we’ve put together consistently in a long time,” Fever coach Stephanie White said.
Indiana remains without Caitlin Clark (groin), but their depth stepped up impressively. If they control the boards again, they’ll be in position to flip the script against a Sparks team that has beaten them three times this season.
