Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams Recap NOV 15TH 2020

Malcolm Brown rushed for two touchdowns as the Los Angeles Rams moved into a three-way tie for first place in the NFC West with a 23-16 victory against the visiting Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon in Inglewood, Calif.

The Rams (6-3) pulled even with the Seahawks (6-3), who have lost three of their past four games, and the Arizona Cardinals (6-3), who defeated the Buffalo Bills.

Despite Aaron Donald, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, not recording a tackle, the Rams' No. 2-ranked defense held Seattle's third-ranked offense to a season low in points. The Seahawks had scored more than 30 points in seven of their previous eight games, with 27 their low before Sunday.

Linebacker Leonard Floyd had three sacks and recovered a fumble and Darious Williams made two interceptions for L.A.

The Rams' Jared Goff was 27-of-37 passing for 302 yards against Seattle's league-worst passing defense. Josh Reynolds had a team-high eight receptions for 94 yards.

Seattle's Russell Wilson was 22 of 37 for 248 yards. It was only the second time he failed to throw a touchdown pass in the past two seasons, the other time last Dec. 8 at Los Angeles.

Brown's 1-yard scoring run with 6:22 left in the third quarter was the lone touchdown of the second half after the Rams led 17-13 at the intermission.

Seattle's Jason Myers kicked a 39-yard field goal with 25 seconds remaining, but the Rams recovered the ensuing onside kick.

After Kai Forbath kicked a 23-yard field goal on Los Angeles' first possession of the game, the Seahawks responded with a 78-yard drive capped by Alex Collins' 13-yard touchdown run. Collins was filling in for the injured Chris Carson (mid-foot sprain) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring), who have each missed the past three games.

The Rams marched right back down the field, with Darrell Henderson Jr. scoring from 1 yard out.

Brown's 7-yard touchdown run with 6:19 left in the second quarter gave the Rams a 17-7 lead.

Myers kicked 37- and 61-yard field goals in the final 3:45 of the half, the latter a franchise record as time expired.
