1. Ferrari (16)

Constructors’ Wins: 1961, 1964, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008

With a whopping 16 titles, Ferrari has won more World Constructors’ Championships than any other team. In fact, the Italian manufacturer claimed at least one title in five consecutive decades between the 1960s and 2000s.

From Juan Manuel Fangio and Niki Lauda to Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen, many legendary drivers have donned the famous red of Ferrari. Schumacher won five straight World Drivers’ Championships between 2000 and 2004, driving Ferrari to five constructors’ titles in the process.

2. Williams (9)

Constructors’ Wins: 1980, 1981, 1986, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997

Williams enjoyed huge success throughout the 1980s and 1990s, clinching nine World Constructors’ Championships in 18 years between 1980 and 1997.

Thanks to drivers such as Alan Jones, Nigel Mansell, Nelson Piquet, Damon Hill, Ayrton Senna, David Coulthard and Jacques Villeneuve, Williams is one of the most successful manufacturers in Formula 1 history.

3. McLaren (8)

Constructors’ Wins: 1974, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1998

McLaren won the first of its eight constructors’ titles back in 1974. A decade later, the English manufacturer picked up a second title, kicking off a run of six World Constructors’ Championship triumphs in eight years.

Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger found themselves behind the wheel during McLaren’s glory years, while David Coulthard and Mika Hakkinen spearheaded the eighth title success in 1998.

4. Mercedes (8)

Constructors’ Wins: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021

If you’re relatively new to the world of F1, the chances are that Mercedes has been the dominant force for much of your time watching the sport. Indeed, Mercedes won eight consecutive titles between 2014 and 2021.

Remarkably, Lewis Hamilton won seven World Drivers’ Championships during that period, with Nico Rosberg briefly halting Hamilton’s dominance in 2016.

5. Lotus (7)

Constructors’ Wins: 1963, 1965, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973 and 1978

Lotus enjoyed plenty of success during the 1960s and 1970s, but the UK manufacturer has not won a title since 1978.

Jim Clark kick-started the Lotus revolution before Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi and Ronnie Peterson took over in the 1970s.

6. Red Bull (5)

Constructors’ Wins: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2022

Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber led Red Bull to four straight World Constructors’ Championships between 2010 and 2013. Although Vettel won the drivers’ titles in those seasons, Webber played a key role in the team’s success.

After winning the World Drivers’ Championship in 2021, Mav Verstappen guided Red Bull to a fifth constructors’ title in 2022.
