Although the Cleveland Cavaliers have lost each of their last three games, they still occupy fourth place in the Eastern Conference, while the Toronto Raptors find themselves ninth. Accordingly, the Cavaliers will be confident of snapping their losing streak on Sunday.
After returning from injury earlier this month, Cleveland’s Darius Garland registered seven assists in three consecutive appearances, taking his assists per game average to 7.8 in the process. With that in mind, I expect Garland to achieve over 7.5 assists against Toronto.
Domantas Sabonis – Over 12.5 Rebounds (-200)
Domantas Sabonis finds himself at the summit of the rebounds per game leaderboard with a giant average of 12.3. After posting 18 rebounds against the Portland Trailblazers, the Sacramento Kings forward added 10 to his tally against the Los Angeles Clippers last time out.
Thanks largely to Sabonis’ exploits, the Kings sit third in the Western Conference, eight places above the Oklahoma City Thunder. If the Lithuanian superstar’s recent performances are anything to go by, he should notch over 12.5 rebounds on Sunday.
Anthony Edwards – Under 30.5 Points (-125)
Timberwolves vs. Warriors Prediction
Having both recorded four wins and six losses across the past 10 games, the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves sit side by side in the Western Conference. For that reason, their meeting at Chase Center is destined to be a close fought battle.
With home court advantage on their side, the Warriors will have the upper hand on Sunday, meaning Minnesota’s top performers could struggle to shine. Having recorded under 30.5 points in seven of his previous 10 outings, Anthony Edwards looks set to be kept quiet by the Warriors.
Damian Lillard – Over 34.5 Points (-167)
Rockets vs. Trail Blazers Prediction
Only two players – Luka Doncic and Joel Embiid – average more points per game than Damiam Lillard this season. The Portland Trailblazers point guard has racked up 1445 points across 46 appearances, meaning he averages 31.4 points per game in 2022-23.
On Sunday, the Trailblazers host the Houston Rockets, who are rooted to the foot of the Western Conference following eight consecutive losses. That’s why I’m backing Lillard to register over 34.5 points at Moda Center.
Nikola Jokic – Over 12.5 Rebounds (-193)
Clippers vs. Nuggets Prediction
Not only does Nikola Jokic have the fourth-best assists per game average (10.0) this season, but he also boasts the third-best rebounds per game average (11.6). Unsurprisingly, Jokic’s Denver Nuggets find themselves atop the Western Conference with 42 wins to their name.
Having chalked up 12+ rebounds in each of his previous 10 appearances for Denver, Jokic looks set to enjoy even more success against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. Indeed, backing the Serbian superstar to achieve over 12.5 rebounds feels like a smart move.
