The college basketball regular season concludes on Sunday. It’s almost tournament time, but the NBA is here to stay until the middle of June.
This means it’s time to start keying in on the action. Player props have been money for us this season.
Player props help eliminate risk because we are betting on players. Typically, players with a high hit rate continue to thrive. Let’s get into my top NBA player props for March 6, 2022.
Kevin Durant Over 25.5 Points
The Nets and Celtics will compete in a huge matchup on Sunday. The Celtics are the hottest team in the Eastern Conference.
However, they should have a challenge with Brooklyn. The Nets are in luck because Kevin Durant is back from injury.
He returned against the Heat on March 3rd and dropped 31 points. Durant is averaging just under 30 PPG this season.
He is also a big-time player who steps up in big spots. His listed total of 25.5 is too low not to hammer the over.
Donovan Mitchell Under 26.5 Points
Donovan Mitchell has been terrific for the Jazz this season. However, I expect him to go under his 26.5 point total on Sunday.
Mitchell has struggled against the Thunder this season. In two contests, he is averaging 14.5 PPG.
This is over 10 points lower than his season average. Additionally, Mitchell’s minutes have been slightly down against the Thunder. If the Jazz takes care of business, Mitchell should get some rest tonight.
Considering his average against the Thunder is under ten points under his listed total, I’m taking the under.
RJ Barrett Under 23.5 Points
RJ Barrett’s average point total this season is 18.9. His average throughout his career is 16.9.
He played 44 minutes against Phoenix on Friday and only dropped 20 points. With this said, you need to consider the over on his total.
In one game against the Clippers this season, he scored 28 points. However, this is because he just kept shooting the ball.
His field goal percentage was very low. In his last ten games, this was the case. He is shooting 37.5% from the field.
I doubt Barrett gets hot in this game. The Clippers may give some open looks, but I do not trust Barrett to make shots.
Mikal Bridges Under 16.5 Points
Mikal Bridges is averaging three points under his listed total for Sunday’s game against the Bucks. Milwaukee is a very good defensive team.
Bridges had 18 last time these teams played. However, Bridges has struggled on the road as of late.
He is averaging 13 points on the road in 28 games. As long as Bridges is not great from the three-point range, I like him to stay under. He has hit the under three times in his past five.
Nikola Jokic Over 25.5 Points
If Nikola Jokic plays tonight, he should go over his total. Jokic has been sensational this season.
He is averaging 31 PPG against the Pelicans in three attempts. There is something about Jokic against New Orleans. It’s probably because New Orleans is not a good basketball team.
Jokic is shooting 67.3% against the Pelicans as well. He has only hit this number once in his past five. However, history tends to repeat itself, and he has dominated the Pelicans.
