Coach Smesko praised his star’s performance:
“It was just a remarkable game from Rhyne. … We’re a very good team. We’re playing well going into the playoffs.”
With Allisha Gray leading the team in scoring (18.6 PPG) and Howard at 17.5, Atlanta’s backcourt is one of the league’s most dangerous. If they maintain hot shooting from beyond the arc, the Dream should roll to another victory.
The Sun Can Win If…
Connecticut snapped a skid with an 87-84 upset in Phoenix, showing late-season resilience. Veteran Tina Charles (16.6 PPG) and Marina Mabrey (14.4 PPG) remain reliable scoring options.
Coach Rachid Meziane sees progress despite a tough year:
“There has been a shift since the All-Star break. … I think we’ve found our chemistry and that wasn’t the case at the beginning of the season.”
If the Sun can build on that momentum, limit turnovers, and attack inside, they could challenge Atlanta and cover the spread.
