Albion College is a private liberal arts college located in Albion, Michigan, and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1835, it was the first private college in Michigan to have a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, recognizing excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.

The college has a student population of approximately 1,350 as of the 2013-14 academic year.
Albion’s athletic teams are known as the Britons, with purple and gold as their official colors. The college competes in NCAA Division III and is a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Albion College is also part of the Great Lakes Colleges Association and the Michigan Campus Compact, which promotes student volunteerism and community service.
