The 2024-25 NBA trade deadline is on Thursday, February 6. However, there have been plenty of fireworks already taking place as we close in on this deadline.
In fact, on February 1, the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks pulled off one of the most historic trades in the history of the National Basketball Association.
The Mavericks sent their franchise player Luka Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis. Yes, the Utah Jazz and other role players were also involved, but nobody will remember this trade outside of the two All-NBA players that were moved.
On February 2, another massive trade sent shockwaves through the league as the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls completed a massive three-team trade.
At the forefront of this deal, the Kings shipped out franchise cornerstone De’Aaron Fox and Kevin Huerter for six draft picks and Zach Lavine. Fox is pairing up with Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio while Huerter will land with the Bulls as a bench player. There were a few additional role players included, but they were less relevant to the main pieces.
With the deadline rapidly approaching, combined with numerous All-Stars rumored to be on the market, this year’s NBA trade deadline could go down as one of the most significant periods of transactions in the history of the league.
Let’s take a closer look at the latest NBA trade rumors, prop bets and make our NBA trade deadline predictions.

Paul George Prop Bets
There are two Paul George prop bets available to wager on:
Will Paul George Be Traded Before 2024/25 Season Ends?
- Yes (+235)
- No (-375)
Last offseason, the Philadelphia 76ers made a massive move in signing Paul George to a 4-year, $212 million deal. Unfortunately, it has not paid off as of yet.
Philly’s big three (George, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid) have only played seven full games together. In that span, they went 6-1 when this trio completed games together. Although a small sample size, it certainly instills hope that if they can all be healthy, which is a big “if,” then they could be a real contender in the Eastern Conference.
As of this writing, George has only played in 30 games this season. When healthy, George is averaging 17.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. He’s fit in perfectly with Maxey and Embiid.
With that said, the 76ers have seen some of their younger players step up while both Embiid and George have been out. There’s a popular saying: the best ability is availability.
Well, George has struggled to be available and it’s costing the 76ers. If he doesn’t return to the court then this team could be in danger of missing the Playoffs. That also requires Embiid to be available as well.
If I was running the 76ers, I would trade Paul George to any team willing to take on his salary and sending both young players and draft picks back in return. Additionally, there are teams calling to inquire about George.
Unfortunately, the 76ers’ front office won’t move on from George at this point in time. So, take the smart play here and bet on the No option.
Bet: No (-375)
Paul George’s Next Team
- Golden State Warriors (+200)
- Miami Heat (+225)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+300)
- Cleveland Cavaliers (+400)
- Phoenix Suns (+550)
- Denver Nuggets (+800)
- San Antonio Spurs (+1200)
- Sacramento Kings (+1200)
Now, if you were wondering what teams have reached out to the 76ers, reports have recently come out over the last 24 to 48 hours suggesting the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors have inquired about George.
Of those two teams, the Warriors makes more sense for the 76ers and this prop bet. First, the Hawks are in the same conference. Second, the Warriors are more desperate to make a big move.
I don’t see a trade happening, but if one did then I would say it’s the Warriors.
Bet: No Bet
Nikola Vucevic Next Team
- Los Angeles Lakers (+115)
- Golden State Warriors (+150)
- Indiana Pacers (+500)
- Memphis Grizzlies (+1000)
- Miami Heat (+1000)
- Phoenix Suns (+1200)
Chicago Bulls’ center, Nikola Vucevic, has been a name to watch this week as there are multiple teams interested in the big man. However, reports have come out saying that two different deals for the 34-year-old center fell through on Tuesday, February 4.
Both the Lakers and Warriors have been rumored to be on the hunt for a big man like Vucevic. After dealing Anthony Davis, the Lakers need to fill that void. Additionally, the Warriors have been in discussions for a few days with the Bulls over Lavine and Vucevic.
I believe the Warriors have more desired assets than the Lakers do. However, this is the Lake-Show and they seem to always, mysteriously be able to swing big deals as if the NBA favors them. But I digress as that’s a story for another day.
It would be an epic failure if the Bulls don’t trade Vucevic before the deadline. I think they will get something done. And, if I were to bet on this one, it has to be the Warriors. Don’t let the latest news sway you.
Bet: Golden State Warriors (+150)
Zion Williamson Next Team
- Detroit Pistons (+150)
- Miami Heat (+300)
- New York Knicks (+400)
- Chicago Bulls (+500)
- San Antonio Spurs (+700)
- Indiana Pacers (+1000)
- Brooklyn Nets (+1200)
- Charlotte Hornets (+1400)
- Memphis Grizzlies (+1500)
With Fox and Doncic being traded, every young star is now seen as a potential trade candidate. Especially ones with a questionable status with the team.
The Warriors have recently circled the Pelicans as they inquired about Williamson’s availability. Personally, I don’t see a scenario where it makes sense to trade Williamson. Can you imagine if they can get a high draft pick and pair that player with Zion?
Williamson still remains the foundation of this team for now. When available, he’s shown to be a dominant player and a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.
There are plenty of rumors and trade ideas surrounding the idea of shipping out Zion. I don’t see it happening. Instead, I believe the Pelicans will continue to build around Williamson which includes the upcoming draft and just getting their players back. No team has been ravaged by injuries more than New Orleans.

Kevin Durant Nex Team
- Golden State Warriors (+225)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+300)
- Miami Heat (+400)
- Oklahoma City Thunder (+600)
- San Antonio Spurs (+800)
- Memphis Grizzlies (+1000)
- Los Angeles Lakers (+1000)
- Philadelphia 76ers (+1200)
- Houston Rockets (+1800)
- Denver Nuggets (+2000)
Golden State is putting on the full court pressure to trade for Kevin Durant and reunite him with Steph Curry, Steve Kerr and the Warriors franchise.
The Miami Heat have also inquired about Durant. However, the Suns have been trying to deal Bradley Beale and first round picks to Miami for Jimmy Butler. Unfortunately, the Heat do not want Beale. And, team Beale won’t waive their no-trade clause.
Circling back to the Warriors, it’s clear that this team has become the odds-on favorite to land Durant if the Suns agree to trade him. As of now, despite the reports of conversations over a Durant trade, Phoenix front office and ownership have publicly stated that they have no interest in trading the future HOF star.
Another reason why I think the Warriors won’t accomplish this fantasy trade is the fact that they would have to send first round picks along with Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins. These are two players that the Warriors have refused to included in previous trade negotiations for players like Lavine and Vucevic.
With time dwindling down, I don’t see Durant being moved by the trade deadline. Now, this summer could be a different scenario.

Brandon Ingram Next Team
- Toronto Raptors (+275)
- Atlanta Hawks (+325)
- Sacramento Kings (+400)
- Detroit Pistons (+500)
- Memphis Grizzlies (+600)
- Golden State Warriors (+800)
- Chicago Bulls (+950)
- Miami Heat (+1100)
- Cleveland Cavaliers (+1200)
Brandon Ingram has been rumored to be on the trade block for the last year. Unfortunately for the Pelicans, he’s been injured for the last few months which definitely drives down his value and potential landing spots.
The Atlanta Hawks have been one team linked to trading for Ingram as they want to make a run at the Playoffs and need to replace Jalen Johnson who they lost for the year. The Pels are reluctant to take on more salary.
The Golden State Warriors have also thrown their hat in the ring as they’ve inquired into Ingram’s price tag. I could see the Warriors being desperate enough to make this trade. I also wouldn’t count out the Sacramento Kings as they’ve been linked to Ingram for the last year as well.
Let’s face it, Ingram’s status is mired in confusion and uncertainty. The talented forward has only played in 18 games this year and he has yet to be cleared for full contact drills. There’s no timetable for Ingram’s return and he comes with a $36 million annual price tag.
When it comes to placing money on this bet, I would skip it. Ingram’s injury status will hinder all trade deals. Maybe they can move him in the summer when Ingram is fully health. As for now, unless the Pelicans are extremely desperate to move him, and take a loss on the trade, then I don’t see a deal happening by the deadline.

LeBron James Next Team
- Golden State Warriors (+300)
- Cleveland Cavaliers (+400)
- New York Knicks (+500)
- Chicago Bulls (+600)
- Philadelphia 76ers (+700)
- Miami Heat (+800)
- Orlando Magic (+1000)
- San Antonio Spurs (+1200)
This prop bet is based on LeBron James actually being traded at the deadline. And, with the move to add Doncic, I don’t see the Lakers sending James anywhere. LeBron has been reportedly interested in playing with Doncic for the last few years. So, he finally has a real distributor to take the pressure off of him.
Another reason why he’s staying with the Lakers, Bronny James. LeBron orchestrated the Lakers drafting his son and I don’t see Los Angeles shipping out either of the James family members.
I do believe that Golden State would like to add LeBron, and he would enjoy it as well. However, the addition of Doncic pretty much keeps James in Los Angeles for as long as he keeps playing.
Bet: No Bet
RJ Barrett’s Next Team
- New Orleans Pelicans (+160)
- Miami Heat (+170)
- Golden State Warriors (+650)
- Houston Rockets (+1100)
- Detroit Pistons (+1100)
- Sacramento Kings (+1100)
- Memphis Grizzlies (+1100)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+1100)
RJ Barrett is under contract with the Toronto Raptors through the 2026-27 season. However, there have been some whispers that other teams could be interested in the guard after his dominant season to date.
Remember, Barrett was traded from the New York Knicks to the Toronto Raptors last year for OG Anunoby. And, you have to admit that the Raptors won that trade. Barrett is averaging 21.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, and 5.7 assists per game this season. These are his best overall stats since coming into the league.
Keep in mind, he’s only 24-years-old with plenty of room to keep growing. Barrett has become a major part of the Raptors this year and I see no reason to think that Toronto will let him go at this trade deadline or in the summer.
Like the LeBron James prop bet above, I would avoid this one as well. There’s no reason to think he will be dealt especially since the Raptors need players like Barrett on their team.

PJ Tucker’s Next Team
- Phoenix Suns (-145)
- Philadelphia 76ers (+325)
- Miami Heat (+375)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+325)
- Dallas Mavericks (+650)
PJ Tucker was just dealt to the Utah Jazz as part of a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. Tucker was a member of the Clippers but decided to step away from the team in October and has not played one game for them this season. He was packaged with Mo Bamba and a 2nd round pick for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.
I would imagine that the Jazz are looking to either wave Tucker or try to trade him again. Tucker has been rumored to be on the Suns’ radar as they could use all the help they can get, especially if they don’t land any of these All-Stars in a trade.
One way or another, I see Tucker landing in Phoenix. The only question is whether or not it will be via trade. Right now, I would say that Tucker gets bought out by the Jazz and then he goes and signs with the Suns to come off the bench.
Bet: Phoenix Suns (-145)
Collin Sexton Next Team
- Orlando Magic (+500)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+600)
- Los Angeles Lakers (+700)
- Miami Heat (+800)
- Detroit Pistons (+1200)
- San Antonio Spurs (+1400)
Is it me or is the Utah Jazz always making trades at the deadline? How is it that this team has so many picks and salary cap space, but can’t seem to build a Playoff contender?
There have been rumors that a number of teams are interested in trading for Collin Sexton. And, why not? He’s a talented player with two-way appeal. Sure, he might not become a Top 2 player on any team, but he’s definitely a high-quality starting five player and could fit on any team.
Recently, the Orlando Magic has popped up as an interested party for Collin Sexton. However, the Jazz have yet to really show their cards on whether or not they want to even trade Sexton.
With that said, I don’t think any of these teams will end up with Sexton if the Jazz move him. I think we see another team, not one of the betting options, swoop in and trade for the talented guard.
Bet: No Bet
Deandre Ayton Next Team
- Detroit Pistons (+400)
- Washington Wizards (+400)
- New Orleans Pelicans (+600)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+700)
- Chicago Bulls (+1000)
- Atlanta Hawks (+1000)
- Golden State Warriors (+1100)
- Charlotte Hornets (+1200)
Two years ago, the Suns shipped out Deandre Ayton as part of a huge three-team trade that also involved the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee won this three-team trade, but you have to think that the Trailblazers got the better end of things compared to the Suns.
But that could all change this week of the Trailblazers decide to trade Ayton. Despite missing some games due to injuries, Ayton is averaging a double-double this season with 13.8 ppg and 10.2 rebounds per game.
With that said, there’s a big hurdle to moving Ayton – his massive contract that nets him over $35 million a year. Sure, he’s still young and talented enough to make a difference, but does anyone want to pay for him?
One team that I like for Ayton is the Indiana Pacers who could move on from Myles Turner in favor of Ayton. However, they’re not an option for this prop bet.
The Pistons have been rumored to be a landing spot for Ayton this past year. Yet, adding the big man would end up costing too much for a franchise trying to rebuild their franchise.
The Wizards, Pelicans and Bulls would have to ship out some of their top players to make the salaries work. I just don’t see that happening. Brandon Ingram’s injury has hurt his trade market and there aren’t many teams looking to add him. He’s this year’s Zach LaVine.
I think Ayton’s best chance of being moved will be in the summer. I don’t see any of these teams swinging for the fences to trade for the big man.
Bet: No Bet
Jordan Poole Next Team
- Detroit Pistons (+550)
- Orlando Magic (+600)
- Milwaukee Bucks (+800)
- Minnesota Timberwolves (+800)
- San Antonio Spurs (+1000)
- Denver Nuggets (+1100)
- Sacramento Kings (+1400)
When it comes to the Washington Wizards, most of the trade buzz has surrounded Kyle Kuzma, Jonas Valanciunas and to a lesser extent – Malcolm Brogdon. Three veterans that the team could ship out for younger players and picks.
Jordan Poole has not come up in any credible reports to be on the trade block or having any other teams calling to acquire him.
There was a discussion that took place on a podcast about the possibility of Poole for Julius Randle. This makes little sense to me. Why would the Wizards trade a 25-year-old scorer for a 30 something player when the team is trying to get rid of their older, veterans. Randle does not fit into a rebuild.
If I had to pick one of the teams on this list, I would go with Orlando who needs a scorer in the backcourt. Unfortunately for the Magic or any other team really interested in Poole on the down low, I don’t see the Wizards shipping him out this season.
He’s still young enough and has the scoring potential to be a part of this rebuilding franchise for at least another season. Skip this prop bet.

Zach LaVine Next Team
- Phoenix Suns (+325)
- Los Angeles Lakers (+500)
- Miami Heat (+550)
- Golden State Warriors (+750)
- New Orleans Pelicans (+850)
- Orlando Magic (+850)
- Houston Rockets (+1000)
- San Antonio Spurs (+1200)
This NBA trade prop bet was closed on February 2, after the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls made a big 3-way trade.
The Kings weren’t even listed as a betting option for this NBA trade prop. Yet, they finally got a player that the team has coveted for the last handful of years.
Lavine is having a monster season and fits a major need for the Kings. The talented star is averaging 24 ppg, 4.5 assists per game and 0.9 steals per game.
The Golden State Warriors were discussing possible trade packages for Lavine. But the Kings swooped in and got the deal done. Initially, I picked the Warriors to land Lavine prior to his trade.
Apparently, the sticking point for the Warriors was giving up Andrew Wiggins. For a team desperate to improve their roster and make another run at the Playoffs, losing out on Lavine to a divisional rival stings on many levels.
Next NBA All-Star To Be Traded
- Jimmy Butler (+130)
- Zach LaVine (+325)
- De’Aaron Fox (+400)
- Zion Williamson (+950)
- Trae Young (1800)
- Donovan Mitchell (+1800)
This prop bet was a tough one considering there were numerous options that could be moved like Jimmy Butler, Zach Lavine, and De’Aaron Fox.
At the time of publication, I picked Jimmy Butler to be the first one traded. I didn’t see how Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell or Zion Williamson could get moved from their teams.
However, I’m curious as to how this prop bet would’ve been paid out considering Fox and Lavine were both traded at the same time. I imagine that sportsbooks would’ve honored wagers on either player.
With that said, I am absolutely surprised that Jimmy Butler hasn’t been moved yet. Here’s a player that wants out of Miami and a team that wants him gone. Yet, the Heat have not been able to find a trade partner that will offer them the kind of package that they desire.
Butler’s camp has told the Warriors that he won’t sign a long-term extension with them. Butler is angling to go to the Phoenix Suns who are also rumored to be secretly listening to offers for Kevin Durant.
The Butler drama appears to be going all the way up to the trade deadline at 3pm ET on Thursday, February 6. Can you imagine how crazy it will be if Butler doesn’t get traded?
