The finish carried it. From mid-November Jacksonville won eight straight to close the regular season, and December went 4-0 with a cover in all four, including 48-20 over the New York Jets laying 13.5 and 34-20 at Denver getting 3.5.

Four wins in four over the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans, every one covered: 36-19 and 23-17 against Indianapolis, 25-3 and 41-7 against Tennessee.
