Dallas Mavericks at Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction
Mavericks vs. Timberwolves Betting Report
Best Bet: OVER 229 Points
When deciding which games to bet the over on, I tend to gravitate towards poor defenses first, and our first pick of the night is a prime example of just that.
The Dallas and Minnesota defenses have both struggled this season. There are many ways to slice defensive performance, with some go-to metrics opponents points per game, opponents effective field goal percentage and defensive efficiency.
On the whole, both the Mavericks and Timberwolves have defenses near 20th overall or worse, suggesting points will be aplenty.
It helps that the Dallas offense, led by Luka Doncic, is scoring in bunches lately, with 132 and 119 in their last two games.
While the Timberwolves offense isn’t elite, they do play at a high pace – third in both field goals attempted per game and possessions per game.
Minnesota is 22-20 against overs and Dallas is 18-23.
Memphis Grizzlies at Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction
Grizzlies vs. Thunder Betting Report
Best Bet: UNDER 218.5 Points
Betting unders can be a more rewarding bet to hit, though it does hijack the viewing experience a bit. In the case of the Grizzlies-Thunder game on Wednesday, a bet on the under is a testament to the defensive strength of each team.
Oklahoma City’s defense is ranked slightly above average, while Memphis has a top-ten defense this season.
Additionally, both teams are 20th or worst in all three key offensive categories: points per game, effective field goal percentage and offensive efficiency.
The advantage goes to the defense in this case, so consider taking the under in this West battle.
On the year, Memphis is 18-22 against over/unders, while Oklahoma City is 21-22.

Charlotte Hornets at Houston Rockets Prediction
Hornets vs. Rockets Betting Report
Best Bet: OVER 225 Points
The LaMelo Ball injury is drastically going to change the season outlook for the Hornets, who were picking up momentum at the right time. His absence is a key loss for this Charlotte team.
Meanwhile, Houston is the NBA’s worst team this year, finally winning on Monday to snap a 20-game losing streak.
Seeing these two teams trending down is a sign to me that we’ll have an opportunity for an extremely reasonable line.
Not only should this projected total be low on Wednesday night, but both Charlotte and Houston have some of the worst defenses in the NBA.
As we’ve touched on already, weak defenses just mean opportunity for more chances at points.
Charlotte and Houston are both up-tempo teams, suggesting it will be a back-and-forth game with a lot of field goals attempted.
The Hornets are 21-20-1 against overs this season and the Rockets are 16-25-1.

Denver Nuggets at Toronto Raptors Prediction
Nuggets vs. Raptors Betting Report
Best Bet: OVER 224 Points
The final pick of the night is built around the dominant offense of the Denver Nuggets, currently the third best team in the NBA at hitting their overs, at 26-16.
The Nuggets offense is one of the league’s best, no worse than fifth in any of the three major offensive categories we listed above.
The Raptors’ offense is no slouch, coming in as a middling unit and putting up points ever since the core returned from their Covid-19 quarantine last week.
The cherry on top of this pick is that both defensive units have been susceptible to points this year.
Toronto is 24-19 against overs this season, right behind Denver. Bet this over confidently, and enjoy your Wednesday NBA action
