The weekend may be drawing to a close, but there are still plenty of attractive NBA betting opportunities to take advantage of. Below, I share my top five NBA player props picks for Sunday, March 12th 2023.
Donovan Mitchell – Over 29.5 Points (-110)
Cavaliers vs. Hornets Predictions
The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered an agonizing four-point loss against the Miami Heat last time out, but Donovan Mitchell still managed to notch a whopping 42 points. It is worth noting that Mitchell has now registered 40+ points in three of his previous five appearances.
On Sunday, the Cavaliers face the Charlotte Hornets, who find themselves second from bottom in the Eastern Conference with a record of 22-47. With Cleveland occupying fourth place in the standings, I expect Mitchell to run riot at Spectrum Center.
James Harden – Over 6.5 Rebounds (+100)
James Harden has recorded exactly nine rebounds in each of his last three outings, helping the Philadelphia 76ers extend their winning streak to four games. When you look at the bigger picture, Harden has notched 6+ rebounds in seven of his previous eight appearances.
Occupying third place in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers host the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Since the Wizards find themselves eight places below Philadelphia in the standings, I’m confident that Harden will secure over 6.5 rebounds.
Damian Lillard – Over 31.5 Points (-120)
Trail Blazers vs. Pelicans Predictions
Only two players – Joel Embiid and Luka Doncic – have a better points per game average than Damian Lillard this season. Averaging 32.1 points per game in 2022-23, I can see the Portland Trail Blazers superstar enjoying plenty of success against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Let’s not forget that Lillard chalked up a mammoth 71 points against the Houston Rockets last month, with two 40+ points hauls coming since then. With that in mind, I’m confident that he will score over 31.5 points on Sunday.
Zach Collins – Under 13.5 Points (-120)
There is no hiding the fact that the San Antonio Spurs are enduring a campaign to forget. Having won just 17 of their 66 games this season, the Spurs find themselves second from bottom in the Western Conference, leading only the Houston Rockets.
On Sunday, the Spurs host the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have won four of their last five games. It could be argued that Zach Collins has been San Antonio’s standout performer in 2022-23, but Collins will struggle to score over 13.5 points against a revived Oklahoma City outfit.
Anthony Davis – Over 12.5 Rebounds (+105)
Anthony Davis has been racking up rebounds for fun of late. After registering 20 rebounds against the Portland Trail Blazers last month, Davis notched 19 against the Memphis Grizzlies before adding 22 to his tally against the Grizzlies earlier this week.
Not only have the Los Angeles Lakers won each of their last three games, but they have also won seven of their previous nine. For that reason, I expect Davis to continue his rebounds hot streak when the Lakers host the New York Knicks.
