What better way to kick-start the weekend than with a slate of exciting NBA match-ups? We have no fewer than 10 games to get our teeth into this Friday, March 3rd. I have tracked down the best NBA player props picks for today’s clashes. Let’s get this show on the road!
Clint Capela – Over 10.5 Rebounds (-130)
Trail Blazers vs. Hawks Predictions
When the Atlanta Hawks faced the Portland Trailblazers back in January, Clint Capela chalked up 15 rebounds. Since then, the Atlanta center has registered 10+ rebounds on seven occasions, notching 15 against the Washington Wizards last time out.
The Hawks have struggled for stability in recent times, but Capela has remained consistent throughout the campaign. With the Trailblazers visiting State Farm Arena on Friday, I’m confident that Capela will record over 10.5 rebounds.
Jaylen Brown – Over 24.5 Points (-110)
Having won eight of their last 10 outings, the Boston Celtics find themselves second in the Eastern Conference. On Friday, the Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets, who occupy sixth place in the standings following a run of eight losses in 10 games.
Boston’s Jaylen Brown has racked up 107 points across his previous four appearances, averaging 26.8 points during that period. Since the Nets have taken a turn for the worse of late, Brown shouldn’t struggle to achieve over 24.5 points at home.
Jalen Brunson – Over 24.5 Points (-110)
The New York Knicks head into Friday’s showdown with the Miami Heat on a seven-game winning streak. When you look at the bigger picture, the Knicks have won nine of their last 10 encounters to cement fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
With that in mind, I can see Jalen Brunson enjoying plenty of success against Miami. The 26-year-old racked up a whopping 39 points against Brooklyn last time out, notching his sixth score of 25+ points in nine games. Put simply, Brunson is on fire right now.
Walker Kessler – Over 2.5 Blocks (+105)
Only three players have registered more blocks than Walker Kessler this season. The Utah Jazz young gun has amassed 131 blocks across 60 appearances in 2022-23, meaning heaverages 2.2 blocks per game.
On Friday, the Utah Jazz come up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with four places separating the teams in the Western Conference. This is destined to be a close-fought battle between two evenly matched sides, so I expect Kessler to be busy throughout the contest.
Nikola Jokic – Over 9.5 Assists (-145)
Grizzlies vs. Nuggets Predictions
What can I say about Nikola Jokic that hasn’t already been said? I mean, the Denver Nuggets superstar finds himself ranked third in rebounds per game, while he ranks fourth in assists per game.
The top two in the Western Conference face off on Friday, as the Nuggets host the Memphis Grizzlies. Granted, the Nuggets won’t have it all their own way at Ball Arena, but I’m confident that Jokic will notch over 9.5 assists, having registered 10+ assists in nine of his previous 12 appearances for Denver.
