We have five NHL games to get our teeth into on Monday, February 27th. Accordingly, I have found the best player prop for each match-up. Keep reading to check out my recommended NHL player props picks for today’s games.
Dylan Larkin – Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-170)
Red Wings vs. Senators Predictions
The Detroit Red Wings have upped their game in recent weeks, with seven wins coming in the previous nine outings. Better still, Dylan Larkin has starred for Derek Lalonde’s team of late, racking up 12 points across his previous eight appearances.
It is also worth noting that Larkin notched six shots on goal against the Tampa Bay Lightning last time out. Having registered 3+ shots on goal in seven of his last 10 outings, the Red Wings captain looks set to enjoy plenty of success when he faces the Ottawa Senators on Monday.
Connor McDavid – Over 1.5 Points (-170)
Few would argue that the Boston Bruins are not the best team in the NHL right now. Indeed, the Bruins have won 45 of their 58 games this season and they head into Monday’s clash against the Edmonton Oilers on a six-game winning streak.
That said, the Oilers boast the deadliest player in the league. Having bagged 11 points across the past three games, Connor McDavid will be confident of extending his lead at the summit of the Art Ross Trophy leaderboard. That’s why I’m backing him to notch over 1.5 points against Boston.
Jason Robertson – Over 1.5 Points (+115)
Like McDavid, Jason Robertson has been racking up points for fun recently. The Dallas Stars winger has accumulated 73 points in 59 appearances this season, meaning he averages 1.24 points per game in 2022-23.
Sitting pretty at the summit of the Central Division, the Stars next opponent are the Vancouver Canucks, who find themselves third from bottom in the Pacific Division. In my eyes, Monday’s match-up provides Robertson with the ideal opportunity to bolster his points tally.
Nathan MacKinnon – Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (-130)
Golden Knights vs. Avalanche Predictions
The Colorado Avalanche head into Monday’s clash against the Vegas Golden Knights on a five game winning streak. When you look at the bigger picture, the Avalanche have won 13 of their last 17 encounters, while the Golden Knights have lost 10 of their previous 18.
Only five players have recorded more shots on goal than Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon this season, with the 27-year-old averaging 5.26 SOG per game in 2022-23. For that reason, I’m backing MacKinnon to chalk up over 4.5 shots on goal at Ball Arena.
Max Domi – Over 0.5 Points (-200)
Blackhawks vs. Ducks Predictions
Although the Chicago Blackhawks remain at the bottom of the Central Division, they carry a five-game winning streak into Monday’s encounter with the Anaheim Ducks, who find themselves rock bottom of the Pacific Division.
Max Domi has been a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy campaign for Chicago, so I expect him to star against the Ducks. The winger has claimed 12 points in his previous six appearances and I can see him extending his scoring streak on Monday.
