Beterbiev vs. Yarde Preview
Beterbiev heads into this bout with a perfect record of 18-0, having started his professional career back in 2013. Over the past decade, the Russian has established himself as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers on the planet.
Remarkably, Beterbiev has won all of his professional bouts by knockout or stoppage – registering 10 TKOs, seven KOs and one RTD. When he fought Joe Smith Jr. Back in June, he sealed the deal via TKO inside two rounds.
As for Yarde, he carries a record of 23-2 into this fight. It is worth noting that the 31-year-old has lost two of his previous seven clashes, falling to Sergey Kovalev in 2019 before suffering a split-decision defeat against Lyndon Arthur the following year.
The Brit has several advantages over his opponent, including age, quicker hands and fighting in his home country. However, I’m confident that Beterbiev’s winning mentality – and brutal punching – will get him over the line.
Beterbiev vs. Yarde Predictions
Here are my recommended Artur Beterbiev vs. Anthony Yarde picks. Of course, the odds for Beterbiev to win by knockout are nothing to write home about, but they still offer decent value. Plus, my other two picks could see you land a tasty profit.
Artur Beterbiev to Win by KO/TKO/DQ (-370)
It only makes sense to back Beterbiev to win by knockout, given that all of his professional fights have ended in a KO/TKO/RTD for his opponent. Plus, Yarde has been knocked out in each of his previous two bouts.
Total Rounds – Under 5.5 (+105)
You can get odds of -140 for Beterbiev vs. Yarde to last over 5.5 rounds, but I expect the fight to last under 5.5 rounds. Since you can more than double your money, I recommend opting for the under 5.5 rounds wager – especially when you consider Beterbiev’s record.
Artur Beterbiev to Win in Rounds 1-6 (-105)
13 of Beterbiev’s 18 professional fights have ended between round one and round six. The Russian made light work of Smith in the second round back in June, so I can see him dispatching Yarde during the early rounds.
