The Virginia Cavaliers find themselves second in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a record of 13-3. Having won five of their previous six games, the Cavaliers will be confident of defeating their state rivals at John Paul Jones Arena.
On the flip side, the Virginia Tech Hokies have lost each of their last five outings. The Hokies head into Wednesday’s clash on a run of woeful form, so I can see them suffering a sixth successive defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers.
Xavier Musketeers at DePaul Blue Demons
Best Bet: Xavier Musketeers -8 (-110)
It is no exaggeration to say that the Xavier Musketeers look unbeatable right now. Indeed, the Musketeers are currently enjoying an 11-game winning streak and find themselves atop the Big East Conference as a result.
At the opposite end of the standings, the DePaul Blue Demons sit second from bottom with a record of 8-10. Not only have the Demons lost three of their last four games, but they have also lost six of their previous eight. That’s why I’m backing Xavier to win big on Wednesday.
Auburn Tigers at LSU Tigers
Best Bet: Auburn Tigers -5 (-115)
The LSU Tigers head into Wednesday’s game against the Auburn Tigers on a four-game losing streak, having fallen to the Kentucky Wildcats, Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide since the turn of the year.
Consequently, LSU sits eighth in the Southeastern Conference – five places behind Auburn. Boasting a record of 14-3, Auburn shouldn’t struggle to cover the spread on Wednesday – notching a sixth victory in seven outings.

TCU Horned Frogs at West Virginia Mountaineers
Best Bet: TCU Horned Frogs +2 (-110)
Although the TCU Horned Frogs sit four places above the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Big 12 Conference, West Virginia is the bookies’ favorite to win on home soil. However, I’m confident that TCU will come out on top.
It is worth noting that West Virginia is currently enduring a five-game losing streak. Since the Horned Frogs have won 12 of their previous 14 encounters, I’m backing the visitors to win with a +2 advantage from the off.
Providence Friars at Marquette Golden Eagles
Providence vs. Marquette Picks
Best Bet: Marquette Golden Eagles -7.5 (-105)
At things stand, there is very little to separate the Marquette Golden Eagles and Providence Friars in the Big East Conference. Marquette sits fourth with a record of 14-5, while Providence sits third with a record of 14-4.
Both teams have won five of their last six games, too, although the Friars lost on the road last time out. With the home-field advantage on their side, I’m confident that the Golden Eagles will cover the spread at Fiserv Forum.
