On Saturday, January 31, the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble will be live from the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This weekend’s event marks the 39th annual Royal Rumble show.
The show marks its 14th event in Saudi Arabia, as part of the WWE’s decade-long partnership with the country. A temporary outdoor stadium was constructed for this PLE as it’s the first traditional Royal Rumble to take place outside of North America.
In fact, this is the first of WWE’s Big 4 PPVs along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series to take place in Saudi Arabia.
WrestleMania is the pinnacle of pro wrestling and sports entertainment PPVs. Yet, the Royal Rumble has been my favorite annual event ever since Ric Flair won the 1992 Royal Rumble match. Which, to this day, is still the greatest Royal Rumble of all-time.
The 2026 Royal Rumble is the next stop along the road to WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 20.
Per tradition, the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches are the primary focus of this weekend’s PPV spectacle. However, there are a few other matches that should be highly entertaining like the WWE Undisputed Championship and AJ Styles vs. Gunther.
Let’s take a closer look at the available WWE odds, courtesy of the top sports betting sites, and make our WWE Royal Rumble predictions.
How To Watch The 2026 Royal Rumble?
This year’s Royal Rumble event will stream live on ESPN Unlimited with a main card starting time of 2pm ET. International fans can watch the Royal Rumble live on Netflix.
WWE Royal Rumble Card
| WWE Match | Favorite | Prediction |
|---|---|---|
| AJ Styles vs. Gunther | Gunther (-300) | Gunther (-300) |
| WWE Undisputed Championship | Drew McIntyre (-350) | Drew McIntyre (-500) |
| Women’s Royal Rumble | Liv Morgan (Even) | Liv Morgan (Even) |
| Men’s Royal Rumble | Roman Reigns (+150) | Bron Breakker (+300) |
With all of the matches having odds listed, we can see how the sportsbooks view this 2026 Royal Rumble card. And, I am slightly surprised by Gunther and McIntyre’s odds not being higher. I would expect these lines to shift before the event starts.
In the Women’s RR match, we have a few competitors bunched at the top of the boards. Yet, Liv Morgan holds the slight edge over others like Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. We also have a plethora of prop bets for this bout that could also provide opportunity for stacking wins.
On the men’s side, Roman Reigns stands above the rest as the odds-on favorite to win. Yet, Gunther and Bron Breakker are right on his heels. Additionally, there are numerous prop bets for this RR men’s match that offer plenty of appeal and potential for more wins.

WWE Royal Rumble Predictions
The following WWE Royal Rumble predictions are for the confirmed matches as of this writing:
WWE Career Threatening Match
- AJ Styles (+200)
- Gunther (-300)
Last year, during the preshow for the Crown Jewel event, AJ Styles said that he would retire in 2026. This announcement has come full circle as Gunther called for Styles to put his career on the line as the one condition for The Ring General to accept this Royal Rumble match.
Styles and Gunther have been at odds with each other all month long as they’ve had multiple encounters. However, it was their match a few weeks back where Gunther defeated Styles due to poor officiating.
The ref didn’t see Gunther tap out to Styles’ calf crusher. The veteran thought he won the match only for Gunther to deliver a low blow and a powerbomb to win the match.
Styles agreed to this condition and will put his career on the line this weekend against Gunther. If he loses, then Styles will have to retire.
Last year, Gunther retired John Cena and Goldberg. So, there is precedent for Gunther to be this era’s legend killer, like Randy Orton was a generation ago.
Also, late last year, reports began circulating that Styles’ WWE contract is set to expire in February 2026. So, this definitely adds speculation and mystery to the Royal Rumble on Saturday.
There are two scenarios to this match: Gunther wins and retires Styles, or the latter wins and the former goes on to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
As a longtime fan of Styles, I think the Royal Rumble is a great way for the Phenomenal One to leave his boots in the ring and retire (from the WWE).
He came into the WWE at the 2016 RR in one of the greatest debuts in the modern era of the promotion. So, a retirement at the RR one decade later is a poetic ending. Yet, I feel this is just the end of his WWE career and not his in-ring career.
Styles could do some matches for TNA since they have a deal with the WWE. He could also leave the promotion and head to AEW. Either way, one of the best wrestlers of his generation, will end up losing to Gunther just like Cena and Goldberg.
Bet: Gunther (-300)
WWE Undisputed Championship Match
- (c)Drew McIntyre (-500)
- Sami Zayn (+300)
On the January 9 episode of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre finally became a world champion once again as he defeated Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The two locked up in a Three Stages of Hell match, where McIntyre scored the victory.
Soon after, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis made a tournament for the no.1 contender spot to challenge for the championship at Royal Rumble.
The tournament led to a fatal four-way match at SNME 43 on January 24. Sami Zayn was able to walk away as the winner of that bout and earn a title shot. Zayn and McIntyre have had a rivalry that’s spanned the last few years. However, Zayn has yet to beat McIntyre in a major singles match.
It’s hard to imagine that Zayn will win this bout on Saturday. He makes for a great underdog and a worthy challenger to McIntyre’s title. Yet, Zayn’s emotional storyline will fall short in his quest to win the title.
McIntyre beat the WWE’s golden boy in Cody Rhodes. So, there’s no reason to think that he’s going to drop the belt before WrestleMania. Instead, I see McIntyre holding this belt until WM 42 and possibly beyond.
Bet: Drew McIntyre (-500)
Women’s Royal Rumble Match
| Women’s Royal Rumble Odds | Women’s Royal Rumble Odds |
|---|---|
| Liv Morgan (Even) | Bianca Belair (+150) |
| Rhea Ripley (+250) | Becky Lynch (+600) |
| Naomi (+800) | Roxanne Perez (+800) |
| Tiffany Stratton (+800) | Charlotte Flair (+1000) |
| Lyra Valkyria (+1200) | Stephanie Vaquer (+1200) |
| Iyo Sky (+1200) | Jade Cargill (+1600) |
| Chelsea Green (+1800) | Jordynne Grace (+1800) |
| Nia Jax (+1800) | Giulia (+2200) |
The first ever women’s Royal Rumble match was held in 2018. That year, Asuka won the inaugural and historic match. Since then, Becky Lynch (2019), Charlotte Flair (2020), Bianca Belair (2021), Ronda Rousey (2022), Rhea Ripley (2023), Bayley (2024) and Charlotte Flair (2025) have won the women’s Royal Rumble match.
Flair is the only one to have won the women’s Royal Rumble match. And, we predicted this outcome:
“When I first heard that Flair would be back, I automatically thought she would win the Royal Rumble and regain a footing at the top of the women’s division. From there, she would reclaim her throne at WrestleMania by either reigniting her rivalry with Ripley or taking on Stratton. Either way, The Queen will win her second RR match.”
Ripley is the only wrestler to have won the match as the first entrant. Both Bayley and Belair entered their respective matches with the third spot.
Let’s take a look at some of the more notable names in this women’s RR match, break down their chances of winning, and then make our predictions as to who will win the Women’s Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania 42 to challenge for a women’s championship.
Liv Morgan (Even): A former world champ, and the last one to eliminated in 2023 and 2024, Morgan is due for a victory in this match. Plus, rumor has it that she’s going to make a full-fledge face turn.
Bianca Belair (+150): The 2021 winner is supposed to be cleared in time for this match and certainly a candidate to win. Regardless of her recent feuds or titles held, Belair is still one of the best in the division.
Rhea Ripley (+250): Ripley, along with Belair, is the cream of the crop in the WWE women’s division. She’s also a viable candidate to win this match as Ripley will always be a contender for gold.
Becky Lynch (+600): One half of WWE’s power couple, Becky Lynch is as credible as they come for any division. “The Man” could really use this win to launch her back into the world title picture.
Naomi (+800): Won the world championship last year by cashing in her MITB contract. She held the belt through Summer Slam before vacating it due to a real-life pregnancy. I have a hard time thinking that she will be back for this match. If she is, then it won’t produce a win.
Roxanne Perez (+800): Perez finished as the runner up last year and is also a worthy candidate to win this year. A victory could elevate Perez into the next level.
Tiffany Stratton (+800): The former world champ is looking to get her title back after losing it to Stephanie Vaquer last October. Considering she had her Mania moment last year, I don’t see it happening this year.
Charlotte Flair (+1000): The greatest women’s wrestler of all-time is always a threat to win. However, she would make for a better storyline regarding the person to eliminate her. No way that Flair wins a second straight Royal Rumble.
Stephanie Vaquer (+1200): the current world champion is my favorite women’s wrestler in the WWE. With that said, I see her defending the title at WM 42 this year, not winning this match.
Nia Jax (+1800): Jax is the female equivalent of Kane, where she will come into the match and walk away with the most eliminations but she won’t actually win.
Who Wins The Women’s Royal Rumble Match?
There are three legitimate options in Morgan, Belair and Ripley. Morgan and Perez fell short of their quest to win the women’s tag-team titles last weekend. So, it’s shaping up that she will go solo for now and pursue a title shot at possibly Vaquer who interfered in that tag-title match to help Sky and Ripley.
The WWE is playing Belair’s injury status close to the vest, and rightfully so. It’s the perfect way to have her make a surprise return at Royal Rumble. However, there is still reported concern over her health. Either way, a surprise return would be nice but it won’t lead to a victory.
In the end, Morgan is due a victory in this match after two runner ups and a 24th last year when she entered no.2 and lasted 67 minutes.
Bet: Liv Morgan (even)
Women’s Royal Rumble Match Prop Bets
Let’s take a look at the following Women’s Royal Rumble prop bets:
What Number Will The Women’s Winner Be?
- Even (-120)
- Odd (-120)
In the eight women’s Royal Rumble matches, the Odd number has hit six times. That’s a staggering number considering this should be closer to a 50-50 split. With that said, I am taking the Even. It hasn’t come up since 2022, when Ronda Rousey won at the 28th spot. There have been three consecutive odd-number wins.
Bet: Even (-120)
Total Entry For Women’s Royal Rumble Winner?
- Over 22.5 (-200)
- Under 22.5 (+150)
Over the first eight editions of the RR Women’s match, it’s been an even split for winners over and under this 22.5 total.
Last year, Charlotte Flair won from the 27th spot. The two previous years saw Ripley (2023) win via the no.1 entry and Bayley (2024) win from the no.3 position.
I think we get an Under this year as I see someone like Liv Morgan making a lengthy run through this match similar to last year when she entered 2nd overall and lasted 67 minutes before being the 24th elimination. Another example from last year was Roxanne Perez who entered 3rd and lasted 67:47 to finish as the runner up.
Bet: Under 22.5 (+150)
Who Will Be This Year’s Iron Woman?
- Rhea Ripley (+175)
- Iyo Sky (+200)
- Liv Morgan (+300)
- Tiffany Stratton (+300)
- Lyra Valkyria (+400)
- Roxanne Perez (+500)
As mentioned above, Morgan and Perez hit the 67-minute mark of ring time. Yet, Perez held the title of Iron Woman as she last 47 seconds longer than Morgan did. Iyo Sky also survived for 66:45, which was the third highest mark.
Ironically, all three women lasted longer than any other Iron Woman in the previous seven editions of the Royal Rumble up to that point.
Bianca Belair holds the record with three Iron Woman performances (2020-2022). Yet, before Ripley’s 61:08 performance in her Rumble win (2023), no other woman even made it longer than 57 minutes. Bayley surpassed that mark with a 63:03 performance in 2024.
Only three of the eight Rumble winners also snagged the Iron Woman title for that year. Since I see Morgan winning this match, I’m taking Ripley to win the Iron Woman for the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble.
Bet: Rhea Ripley (+175)
Men’s Royal Rumble Match
| Men’s Royal Rumble Odds | Men’s Royal Rumble Odds |
|---|---|
| Roman Reigns (+150) | Gunther (+200) |
| Bron Breakker (+300) | Sami Zayn (+400) |
| LA Knight (+500) | CM Punk (+800) |
| Cody Rhodes (+900) | Oba Femi (+1400) |
| Seth Rollins (+1400) | Jacob Fatu (+1800) |
| Randy Orton (+2200) | The Rock (+2500) |
| Drew McIntyre (+2500) | Logan Paul (+3000) |
Unlike the women’s Royal Rumble match which began in 2018, the first ever men’s RR match took place in 1988, and won by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. However, that first year wasn’t like the current format we’re used to.
This current Royal Rumble format began in 1989, which was won by Big John Studd. Hulk Hogan would then win the next two RR matches before Flair’s legendary win in the greatest Royal Rumble of all-time (1992).
Jey Uso is the reigning winner of this match, after I stunning the WWE Universe by eliminating John Cena in the end.
With that said, let’s take a look at some of the notable competitors in this match, break down their chances of winning, and then make our predictions as to who will win the men’s Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania 42 to challenge for one of the championships.
Roman Reigns (+150): Last year saw Roman Reigns get eliminated by CM Punk and begin a lengthy feud with Seth Rollins. This year, Reigns enters as the odds-on favorite to win the RR for the second time. His lone win came in 2015, which is rather surprising.
Gunther (+200): we discussed this above, but Gunther’s odds are based on the theory that he loses to Styles and then wins this match. I don’t see that happening.
Bron Breakker (+300): Last year, I dubbed him as one of the biggest wild cards and felt that a strong showing could elevate him further. Well, he was eliminated 12th by Reigns. However, Breakker would have his breakout year and is poised for a win this weekend.
Sami Zayn (+400): the perennial underdog, Zayn is overvalued in this spot. Plus, he’s going to be competing in a world title match on the same PPV. So, it makes no sense to have him win this match.
LA Knight (+500): Knight entered 29th last year but was eliminated in five minutes by AJ Styles. While he should see a better performance in this year’s RR match, I still don’t see the WWE pulling the trigger to make him a world title contender.
CM Punk (+800): Punk was my choice to win the Rumble last year and go on to main event Mania. Well, he was eliminated by Logan Paul in less than 19 minutes, after making the final four. Currently the world champ, I don’t see Punk winning his first Rumble ever.Although, it would make for a memorable moment.
Cody Rhodes (+900): The grandson of a plumber won the 2023 and 2024 Royal Rumbles. He just lost his world title to McIntyre earlier this month. A third RR win in the last four years could put him back into the world title scene just in time for Mania.
Oba Femi (+1400): Femi is set to be a main roster competitor, and a future star. He had a champion vs. champion match against Rhodes last December, which ended in a no contest due to interference from McIntyre. This is the perfect opportunity to give Femi momentum by putting together a strong RR performance. With that said, he’s my pick to win in 2027, not this weekend.
Seth Rollins (+1400): Rollins has been out of the ring since last October due to a torn rotator cuff. It led to Punk winning a vacated world heavyweight title. It also sparked Rollins getting booted out of his faction by Breakker. The future WWE HOF is set to return very soon. While he’s playing coy about an appearance this weekend, Rollins returning at the Rumble would make for an impactful moment. It could be a reason to prevent Breakker from winning.
Jacob Fatu (+1800): Like Breakker, I had Jacob Fatu pegged as one of the men that deserved a big push in the Rumble match. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as I hoped. While he tied for the lead with four eliminations, Fatu was tossed out by Strowman in less than 25 minutes after entering 12th. This year, I see a better performance where he should be a legitimate contender for a final four spot.
Hobbs (NA): Will Hobbs has signed with the WWE after spending the last few years in AEW. He’s set to go right to the main roster and many expect Hobbs to get a push right away. What better way to debut someone and give them a huge push, than with a dominant performance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match?
Who Wins The Men’s Royal Rumble Match?
Reigns, Breakker and Gunther are the odds-on favorites to win this match. I can see some shenanigans happening where Rollins helps Reigns to win after aiding in the elimination of Breakker.
It really is a surprise that Reigns hasn’t won more than one Rumble match. He’s definitely poised to win this weekend. Yet, I think Breakker needs the win more and definitely offers better value than Reigns.
I’m going with Breakker to win this match and head to Mania where he should be elevated as the next world champion.
Bet: Bron Breakker (+300)
Men’s Royal Rumble Match Prop Bets
Let’s take a look at the following Men’s Royal Rumble prop bets:
Men’s Final Four Odds
Roman Reigns leads this prop bet at -400 odds and I see the Tribal Chief being there in the end. I also like Bron Breakker (-225), Cody Rhodes (+110) and someone like Oba Femi (+225) or Jacob Fatu (+125). Seth Rollins (+500) provides solid value to make the final four after a lengthy hiatus due to an injury.
Last year, we saw Cena, Punk, Uso and Paul as the final four. So, that was two surprise entrants into the final four. That’s why a wrestler like Femi could fit the bill. He’s going to be a star on the main roster.
As of now, there are no odds for Hobbs to participate in the Rumble. Yet, I would say that his appearance is a near-lock.
My final four wrestlers are Reigns, Rhodes, Breakker and Fatu. Yet, I love the value with Rollins and Femi to crash the party.
Bet: Reigns (-400), Breakker (-225), Rhodes (+110), Fatu (+125)
Men’s Winner Entry Number
- Over 22.5 Entry Number (-175)
- Under 22.5 Entry Number (+130)
14 previous Royal Rumble wins have come from the following numbers: 1, 2, 3, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30.
Last year, the O/U was set at 17.5 and we hammered the Over. Jey Uso entered 20th and won the RR match, which also led to a winning wager on this prop. That also marked three of the last four rumbles having someone over 17.5 win the match.
I thin with an O/U of 22.5, we’re going to get an Under. Someone is going to have to work their way through time and eliminations to win it this year.
Bet: Over 22.5 (-175)
Men’s Winner Number
- Odd (-115)
- Even (-115)
Six of the last seven Royal Rumble matches have seen the men’s winner enter with an even number. As mentioned, last year’s winner entered no.20 overall.
With that said, this WWE prop bet should still be treated like a coin flip. Neither betting option provides more value, so let’s go with Odds as it can’t keep landing on Even.
Bet: Even (-115)
The Most Total Eliminations
- Over 8.5 eliminations (-110)
- Under 8.5 eliminations (-130)
On the men’s side, the record for the most eliminations in a Royal Rumble match is 13 by Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns is second all-time with 12 eliminations in one RR match and Kane is third with 11.
The average number of eliminations, by the wrestler with the most in a Royal Rumble match, is 6.5 eliminations. So, this mark is set above the average and slightly higher than last year’s O/U of 7.5 eliminations. And, as we saw last year, the highest total of eliminations by any individual was four.
I’m taking the Under for this year, as well. Despite several wrestlers being capable of double digits, I think the field is balanced enough with talent that will need the time and eliminations for storylines moving forward.
Bet: Under 8.5 eliminations (-130)
Wrestler With Most Eliminations
- Oba Femi (-200)
- Bron Breakker (+200)
- Jacob Fatu (+300)
- Brock Lesnar (+400)
- Roman Reigns (+500)
- Cody Rhodes (+600)
- Bronson Reed (+700)
It appears that Oba Femi is set for a big push on the main roster. He was one of NXT’s biggest male stars over the last few years and has all of the tools to be a star on the main roster.
Last year, I was high on Breakker and Fatu to finish with the most eliminations. They had three and four eliminations respectively. Fatu’s four tosses were tied for the most with Roman Reigns. Breakker was tied with Uso and Cena for the second most.
All three of those men could easily set the mark this year. And, if Lesnar is in the Rumble, he could also finish with the most eliminations. With that said, let’s roll with the favorite here since it feels like the sportsbooks know something is up.
Bet: Oba Femi (-200)
Who Will Be The Last Entrant Into the Rumble?
- Chris Jericho (-500)
- Seth Rollins (+250)
- Brock Lesnar (+300)
- Cody Rhodes (+700)
- AJ Styles (+1200)
This WWE Royal Rumble prop bet is a fun one. I can see it breaking a few ways. First, let’s start by eliminating Rollins, Lesnar and Rhodes. All three men are too mainstay for this position.
For me, there are two options: Jericho and Styles.
If Styles were the last entrant, it could be a swerve due to Gunther cheating to win their match. This would lead to a big pop from the crowd.
However, the biggest pop will come from Jericho’s return. All of the rumors point to Jericho making his long-awaited return to the WWE. Even if it’s not in a full-time capacity, showing up at the 30th entrant would cap a match with the surprise return that most WWE fans want to see.
There’s no value with Jericho’s odds, but there’s also no reason to pick against him.
Bet: Chris Jericho (-500)
Who Will Be This Year’s RR Iron Man?
- Je’Von Evans (+125)
- Cody Rhodes (+150)
- LA Knight (+200)
- Penta (+300)
- Bron Breakker (+400)
- Roman Reigns (+500)
- Jacob Fatu (+600)
There are several wresters on this list that could end up surviving the longest in this match. However, I think the one that makes the most sense is Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes has been the face of this company for the last few years and has battled every big-name wrestler over that span. He recently lost his world title to Drew McIntyre and is in need of a meaningful storyline push on the Road to WrestleMania.
A likely option is that he enters in the first six to eight wrestlers and then lasts over an hour before being eliminated as one of the final four entrants. That could set up a feud with whomever eliminates him, as well.
Bet: Cody Rhodes (+150)
WWE Royal Rumble Winners
The following is a list of the recent men and women Royal Rumble winners dating back to 2018, which is the first year for a Women’s RR match. The entry number for each winner is listed in parenthesis:

| 2019 | Seth Rollins (#10) | Becky Lynch (#28) |
