On Sunday, April 6, AEW returns to PPV with their annual Dynasty event. The 2025 AEW Dynasty PPV marks the second installment in this franchise and emanates from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This weekend’s AEW show marks the first time that they’ve held a PPV in Philadelphia, so it should be a wild crowd on Sunday night.
Dynasty is shaping up to be a real PPV banger with the majority of the promotion’s world titles on the line. Jon Moxley will defend his AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland and Toni Storm defends the Women’s World Championship against Megan Bayne.
AEW fans will also see the TNT Title, World Trios Championships, the International Championship, Tag-Team Titles and ROH World Championship up for grabs. We’ll also get two Owen Hart Cup matches to kick off the tournament for both the men and women.
All of the wrestling action begins at 7pm ET with the Dynasty Zero Hour. The PPV card begins at 8pm ET and you can bet that AEW will continue to add matches all the way up to the final hours before the opening bell.
Let’s take a look at the latest AEW Dynasty odds, courtesy of the top sports betting sites, and make our AEW Dynasty predictions.
As of this writing, some of the opening odds have trickled out. Make sure to check back throughout the week for more AEW odds and any significant line movement.

AEW Women’s World Title Match | Toni Storm (-700) | Toni Storm (-700) |
AEW World Title Match | Jon Moxley (-140) | Jon Moxley (-140) |
Unlike at AEW Revolution last month, where we had to wait until a few days before the PPV to see opening odds, the AEW Dynasty PPV has already hit the sportsbooks and top handicappers.
As expected, Kenny Omega (-2000) is a large betting favorite in the three-way match for the International Championship. Yet, he’s not the largest favorite on the show. That status goes to Will Ospreay (-5000) versus Kevin Knight. Second is The Hurt Syndicate vs. The Learning Tree.
The men’s AEW World Championship bout has close odds as it’s almost Even for Moxley and Strickland. However, the women’s World Title match has seen Toni Storm’s odds more than double since opening lines.
With the odds, and matches, trickling out over the end of the week, it will be interesting to see how some of these matches shift in betting lines and value.
AEW Dynasty Predictions
The following AEW predictions are for the confirmed Dynasty matches:
Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Match
- Kevin Knight (+1000)
It’s that time of year again, where AEW hypes up their annual Owen Hart Cup Tournament. This year, the male and female winners will get a shot at their respective world championships at the All-In Texas Stadium show.
On the April 2 episode of Dynamite, the men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament bracket was unveiled. The following is a quick look at the upcoming tournament that begins on April at the Dynasty PPV:
- Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight
- Brody King vs. Konosuke Takeshita
- Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher
- Hangman Adam Page vs. Wild Card Entry
Kevin Knight is filling in for Jay White who suffered a broken hand and reportedly needs surgery. Ironically, Knight wrestled White in his final match before being sidelined via the injury. Knight was also made All Elite that weekend as well.
We already knew that Will Ospreay was involved in the tournament. Now, we know that he will pick up an easy win no matter competitive the in-ring product looks.
As soon as Opreay entered the Owen Hart Cup, I picked him to win the tournament. There’s nothing with the bracket unveiling that makes me change my mind.
I see Ospreay battling Takeshita in the Semifinals and winning. On the other side, Fletcher and Hangman Adam Page will both win their opening matches. I also see Page getting past Fletcher to earn a Finals match against Ospreay. I don’t see AEW going with Opsreay vs. Fletcher 4.
In the end, Opsreay will win the tournament and head to All-In to fight for the world title.
Bet: Will Ospreay (-5000)
Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Match
- Merecedes Mone (-1000)
- Julia Hart (+550)
Just like with the men, the following women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament bracket was unveiled on this week’s Dynamite and will also kick off at the Dynasty PPV:
- Jamie Hayter vs. Billie Starkz
- Thunder Rosa vs. Kris Statlander
- Julia Hart vs. Mercedes Mone
- Harley Cameron vs. Athena
The odds might be closer for this Owen Hart Cup match than the men’s bout above, but make no mistake about it – Mercedes Mone is winning this match.
On the April 5 episode of Collision, Mone and Harley Cameron battled Athena and Julia Hart. The team of Athena and Hart won after the latter forced Cameron to tap out.
So, we get three revelations from this tag-team bout and the unveiling of the women’s bracket. The first revelation is that Cameron has no shot at beating Athena. Second, Mone will dispatch of Hart in a solid match. Three, this tournament will feature a Mercedes Mone vs. Athena match that should’ve been the Finals bout.
Lastly, I see Jamie Hayter going to the Finals from the other side of the bracket. Once there, Mone will win and go on to All-In where she faces Toni Storm in quite possibly the best women’s match of the year.
This weekend, take Mone to remain undefeated and beat a tough opponent in Julia Hart.
Bet: Mercedes Mone (-1000)
AEW Tag-Team Title Match
- (c)The Hurt Syndicate (-3000)
- The Learning Tree (+850)
We’ve seen over the last few weeks that AEW pivoted towards a tag-team title match between The Hurt Syndicate and The Learning Tree. This was due to Brian Cage suffering an injury and being unable to compete. AEW was heading towards a tag-team title bout with the champs versus Cage and Lance Archer.
It’s just silly to me how Big Bill is stuck in a meaningless tag team when he should be competing for the top singles titles in the promotion. Big Bill has the look, just enough mic skills, and the fan support to be a star in AEW. Tony Kahn needs to stop wasting him away with The Learning Tree.
With that said, you can expect Big Bill to look strong in this match but ultimately lose after his partner eats the pin.
I wouldn’t be surprised if MJF gets involved somehow. In fact, he’s a wild card here. There’s a feud bubbling between MJF and The Hurt Syndicate due to Bobby Lashley not trusting MJF or wanting him in the group. MJF says he will prove that he belongs, which means he could interfere in this match.
Either way, there’s no scenario where The Hurt Syndicate lose this match as they’re one of the best things in all of AEW.
Bet: The Hurt Syndicate (-3000)
ROH World Title vs. Mask Match
- (c)Chris Jericho (+1600)
- Bandido (-1600)
Chris Jericho and Bandido have been feuding for nearly all of 2025 so far. And, as of now, Jericho has beaten Bandido every time. Actually, they first met in 2022, and Jericho won that match.
Then they fought again on the February 22 episode of Collision and of course, Jericho won again. However, instead of the feud ending there, Jericho would end up going after Bandido’s brother Gravity and steal his mask after beating him up in front of Bandido and Gravity’s mother.
So, this led to an enraged Bandido who is seeking vengeance against Jericho. At this point of his career Jericho should be used as someone to elevate others into prominence. Bandido is over with the fans, a stud in the ring, and needs to get the push by winning the match.
After the betting odds came out, Bandido was listed as a large betting favorite. So, it’s clear that even the oddsmakers feel that Bandido should and will win.
Enough is enough with Chris Jericho. It’s time to put him on commentary or just as a manager. At this stage, his feuds have become lackluster at best. Yet, he still has plenty of value to the company in other capacities.
If Bandido doesn’t walk away with the world title, then AEW has severely dropped the ball.
Bet: Bandido (-1600)
AEW TNT Title Match
- (c)Daniel Garcia (+250)
- Adam Cole (-400)
Like the Jericho vs. Bandido storyline, Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia have been embroiled in a feud for the last few months from trios to singles matches.
Garcia has held the TNT Title since Full Gear last November after defeating Jack Perry who has pretty much disappeared from TV since then.
Along the way, Garcia has defeated other wrestlers like Cole’s teammate Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, Katsuyori Shibata and Lee Moriaty to name a few.
The two men first fought for the TNT title on the March 1 episode of Collision. The match ended with Shanye Taylor Promotions interfering and causing disqualification. They rematched on March 22 Collision, and the bout ended in a time-limit draw.
So, Cole challenged Garcia for the third time and told the champ how he’s never beaten him. Garcia accepted the challenge for a match at Dynasty. However, two stipulations were added: no time limit and no outside interference.
At this point of his AEW run, if Adam Cole doesn’t win the TNT Title then AEW has a serious problem on their hands. Cole was supposed to be a world title contender and in the upper echelon of the roster. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
If AEW is trying to reestablish Cole, then they need to have him win this weekend. And, I think they will. Garcia’s run as TNT champ has been mid at best. Cole could get more juice out of this title especially with Strong and O’Reilly with him. Turn the trio heel and it will be even better.
I’m taking Cole to win his first AEW singles title at Dynasty. The odds favor Adam Cole “bay bay” to win this weekend and honestly, Garcia’s run as TNT champ has been meh at best.
Bet: Adam Cole (-400)
AEW Trios Titles Match
- (c)The Death Riders (-800)
- Rated FTR (+425)
Dissension is growing within Rated FTR and it’s setting up for a cool heel turn by Dax and Cash. Don’t let what happened on the March 29 Collision fool you, where Hardwood pushed Wheeler.
Dax Hardwood is bringing back the edge that made FTR one of the best heel teams in the world. And, I believe it’s only a matter of time before FTR is full heels again. Let’s recap how we got here first, before I make official predictions for this Trios Title match.
At AEW Worlds End, Adam Copeland returned to confront Jon Moxley and stand tall with FTR. They then continued their rivalry against The Death Riders and Moxley.
This led to a world title match at AEW Revolution between Mox and Cope. The match ended when Christian cashed in his contract to try and take advantage of the weakened wrestlers, but ended up losing instead.
The following week on Dynamite, we saw a brutal Street Fight between Mox and Copeland for the world title. FTR came out to assist Copeland with the rest of Moxley’s faction interfering. Unfortunately, Rated FTR came out on the losing end of things as Mox beat Cope.
Afterwards, Hardwood refused to shake Copeland’s hand and walked out of the ring. The next week, we saw a taped interview segment where Rated FTR talked about what happened. There were more issues between Copeland and Hardwood despite Wheeler trying to patch things up.
While Hardwood wanted to get back to focusing on the tag titles, Wheeler and Copeland voted that they should challenge The Death Riders for the trios belts. Hardwood begrudgingly accepted. A few days later, we see Dax pushing his partner, Wheeler.
I think it’s time to turn FTR heel and at the expense of Copeland. They both can get upset at Copeland for not winning the trios titles and commence in beating him down either during or after the match.
This will allow The Death Riders to retain the trios titles, which is probably the best idea right now. Plus, I can’t stand when we get storylines where tag-team champs have to defend the belts despite being at odds against each other. That angle has been done to “death.”
Following the April 5 episode of Collision, FTR apparently made up and things are supposed to be good for Rated FTR heading into the PPV. But don’t be fooled. Online betting sites are seeing through the smoke just like we are here at SandS. So, take The Death Riders to retain the belts.
Bet: The Death Riders (-800)
AEW International 3-Way Match
- (c)Kenny Omega (-2000)
- Ricochet (+500)
- “Speedball” Mike Bailey (+600)
On a PPV with plenty of exciting matchups, I am really looking forward to what these three men can do if given enough time to tell a fantastic in-ring story. I’m hoping we get something close to what we saw with Ospreay, Ricochet, and Takeshita at WrestleDream last October.
Kenny Omega won the International Title from Takeshita at Revolution in early March. He completed a successful return to the company following a lengthy hiatus due to health problems.
Then, AEW held an International Eliminator Tournament where Orange Cassidy, Mike Bailey, Ricochet and Mark Davis all won qualifying matches.
All four winners would compete in a match to determine the #1 contender to Omega on the March 19 episode of Dynamite. This match ended with Ricochet and Speedball getting the pin at the same time. So, AEW decided to put both into a three-way match against Omega.
There was some grumbling from fans and pundits after this revelation, but I loved it. Whichever man between Ricochet and Bailey that doesn’t get pinned, will be protected and can still go on to become a feud with Omega. The other will move on to another story.
Personally, I think Ricochet makes the better rival for Omega despite Bailey’s longstanding desire to have a singles feud with Omega. Ricochet is far more over as a heel than just about anyone else in AEW. So, another month of harassing Omega would be entertaining.
Keep in mind, Omega isn’t losing this belt anytime soon. Everything is lining up for a title vs. title match against his longtime rival Okada at the All-In show this summer.
Take Omega to win this match and enjoy the in-ring brilliance from three highly talented wrestlers. Unfortunately, there’s no betting value to Omega’s line as it has tripled since the opening odds. I fully expect his odds to continue to rise the closer we get to the PPV.
Bet: Kenny Omega (-2000)
AEW Women’s World Title Match
- (c)Toni Storm (-700)
- Megan Bayne (+400)
If Toni Storm is involved, then sign me up. She’s arguably one of the most entertaining pro wrestlers in any company. I love her promos and her feud with Mariah May. In fact, that feud was probably AEW’s best over the last year.
With that said, I would love if AEW gave Megan Bayne the Goldberg treatment and have her cheat to beat Storm at Dynasty. Worst case scenario, we need a DQ due to interference to prevent Bayne from taking her first loss right now.
I fully agree with Tommy Dreamer’s assessment of Bayne and this title match:
“You have Penelope Ford who can get involved and cause a disqualification and maybe take it to a different type of match. They’ve done an excellent job in building Megan Bayne up. A lot of times when newer talent come on the scene in AEW, it’s just been like a historic pattern. Whoever the newest female is, they come in, they get a push, they lose, and then they fall into other storylines. For her, because she has been done so right, I think you can definitely get a rematch out of it.”
Dreamer nailed AEW’s flaws with booking new wrestlers that were stars elsewhere. In order to buck that trend, they cannot have Bayne lose cleanly in this match.
The feud, story, and potential subplots have plenty of runway left for the next few months. So, AEW really needs to consider a smart way to have Storm retain the title without damaging Bayne’s status.
Ford interfering would be the easiest out since she’s been teaming with Bayne as of late. Thunder Rosa turning heel on Storm would be another intriguing option.
With that said, I’m taking Storm to win the match, but hoping that Bayne gets the shine to continue on as one of the top women on the roster.
One last caveat, Storm’s odds shot up from -300 to -700 after this week’s Dynamite. I actually see these odds climbing even more as we get closer to the PPV. Although there’s minimal value on Storm’s line right now, it’s better than what it will be on Sunday.
As for the betting odds, Moxley’s line moved very slightly to -140 after Dynamite. Strickland went from -110 to Even. Oddsmakers still don’t know who to pick to win this match.
Although Swerve stood up from being power bombed into broken glass at the end of Dynamite, I still see Moxley retaining the title.
Perhaps, we get a new alliance between Page and Strickland after their backstage encounter on Dynamite where Swerve admitted he deserved Page burning down his house. This could be a monumental moment in AEW. Personally, I would prefer to see them feud forever. But, I digress.
Bet: Toni Storm (-700)
AEW World Title Match
- (c)Jon Moxley (-140)
- Swerve Strickland (Even)
I’m a fan of world champions having long title reigns. It helps to protect the world title, adds more value and prestige to the belt, and makes the champion even more credible in the eyes of the fans.
Jon Moxley has been a great champion every time he’s held the title. I thought he was going to lose the belt to Adam Copeland or somehow end up in Christian’s hands. But that didn’t happen.
So, now we have a short build to Swerve Strickland vs. Moxley and I expect this to be a vicious encounter. There’s a loud voice within the AEW universe calling for Moxley to lose the belt.
At some point that will happen. I’m just not entirely sure it’s going to happen at Dynasty. Strickland is worthy of defeating Mox and getting a second world title reign. He could then go on to have some exciting feuds against Ospreay, Fletcher, MJF, Bobby Lashley, Jay White and Hangman Adam Page.
Speaking of the latter, Page acknowledged in a recent backstage promo how he vowed to never let Strickland win the world title. This happened just before he announced his entrance into the Owen Hart Tournament.
I would absolutely love to see Page interfere and prevent Strickland from winning the title. Their eternal blood feud is still one of the best storylines in AEW.
Part of me also feels that Moxley is going to hold the title until All-In where he loses it to Darby Allin who was rumored last year to be the man that’s going to beat Mox.
As much as I like Allin, I don’t think he should be world champ. However, having Moxley hold the belt until All-In does make sense. It the biggest show of the year. So, having one of their biggest names hold the belt and drop it to someone would be fantastic.
The guy that I think should beat Mox at All-In is Ospreay. He’s a Bonafide star and should have been world champion already.
Now that I have finished my longwinded tangent, let’s return to this PPV match. Take Mox to retain the title by hook or by crook. I just don’t see AEW having Strickland win the AEW World Championship at Dynasty two years in a row. Also, can we please get another member in The Death Riders?
Bet: Jon Moxley (-130)
AEW Dynasty 2024 Results
The following is a quick recap of the 2024 AEW Dynasty PPV event:
Trent Beretta opened the Preshow with a submission victory over Matt Sydal.
The next Preshow bout was a tag-team match that saw Katsuyori Shibata and Orange Cassidy defeated Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty).
In a surprising preshow match, Bullet Club Gold (The Gunns and Jay White) beat The Acclaimed and Billy Gun to unify the ROH and AEW Trios titles.
The Dynasty PPV opened with Kazuchika Okada retaining his title in a solid match against Pac. Okada hit the rainmaker for a pinfall victory.
In a trios match, The House of Black defeated the team of Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe and Eddie Kingston. The ending came when Malakai Black spit mist into Copeland’s face and then hit his finisher for the victory.
The TBS Title match saw Julia Hart fail to defend her belt as she lost to Willow Nightingale via pinfall. After the match, Mercedes Mone came out to get into Willow’s face.
Roderick Strong successfully defended his International Title in a singles match against Kyle O’Reilly. Strong hit his End of Heartache move to score the pinfall victory.
In a FTW Rules Match, Chris Jericho used two Judas Effects and a baseball on Hook to pin the champ for the FTW Championship.
The AEW Women’s World Championship was defended next as Toni Storm pinned Thunder Rosa following an illegal low blow and a Storm Zero finisher.
In a generational match, Will Ospreay defeated Bryann Danielson via pinfall after hitting Daniels with multiple Hidden Blades and a Tiger Driver 91.
An AEW Tag-Team Title match was the penultimate bout with The Young Bucks facing FTR in a ladder match. The Young Bucks won the match after a masked Jack Perry interfered to help The Bucks.
The main event was for the AEW World Championship as Samoa Joe lost the belt to Swerve Strickland via pinfall. Strickland hit a Swerve Stomp to beat Joe.
