The Atlanta Braves have won ten straight and the New York Yankees have won nine of their last ten games. Cleveland is now just two games behind Minnesota in the AL Central with a current 8-2 run.
Each of these teams, as well as the rest of MLB will be in action today. Pitching is a key to these teams winning, but they have to produce runs somehow.
Boston has won 11 of its past 14 games and the Red Sox lineup is on a tear. The Bosox have three players hitting well over .300 and all three – J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, and Rafael Devers – are in the MLB top five in batting average.
Will they hit successfully today? Here’s a look at the top MLB hits props picks for Friday, June 17th 2022.
Jackie Bradley Jr. – UNDER 0.5 Hits (+135)
Cardinals vs. Red Sox Predictions
Bradley is coming off two consecutive games in which he had two hits. Those two games were against Oakland.
Tonight, Bradley will go up against St. Louis and veteran pitcher Adam Wainwright who has been solid in his last three starts. He’s pitched seven innings in each game and the Cards have won all three.
In his career, Bradley has seven plate appearances against Wainwright. He does not have a hit and he has struck out three times. Bradley regresses tonight and fails to hit safely.
Cody Bellinger – OVER 0.5 Hits (-150)
Indians vs. Dodgers Predictions
Bellinger has not started 2022 strong. He’s batting just .206 with seven homers and 23 RBIs. That pales in comparison to some of his teammates and to some of his prior MLB seasons.
The former NL MVP did hit safely last night and he has just three hits in 19 at-bats over the last seven days. Bellinger has not faced Cleveland pitcher Zach Plesac in his career.
Plesac has a 4.70 ERA and a 6.07 xERA, which indicates he is due for some negative regression. With all the hitters in the Dodgers’ lineup, Plesac can’t pitch around anyone especially Bellinger.
Bellinger hits safely again tonight.
George Springer – OVER 0.5 Hits (-180)
Yankees vs. Blue Jays Predictions
Springer has been one of the most consistent leadoff hitters in baseball. He is having an All-Star caliber season batting .271 with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs.
Over the past seven days, Springer is 7-for-26 with two doubles, a home run, and three RBIs. He failed to get a hit in the final two games of Toronto’s series with Baltimore. He’s a prime candidate to hit safely tonight.
Springer will face Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery who is one of many New York pitchers with an ERA under 3.00 (2.70).
In his career, Springer is batting .300 against Montgomery. Playing at home tonight, Springer continues his success against the Yankees pitcher.
Randy Arozarena – OVER 1.5 Hits (+195)
Arozarena is one of the Rays best hitters. Last year’s AL Rookie of the Year is batting .262 so far this season. He has seven home runs and 31 RBIs as well.
Arozarena faced some tough pitching in his last series. He failed to hit in the last two games against the Yankees. Prior to those two games, Arozarena had at least one hit in eight of 10 games. In four of those eight, Arozarena had multiple hits.
Against a weaker pitcher tonight, Baltimore’s Dean Kremer, Arozarena is due for a big night. In the last series with Baltimore, Arozarena had a multiple hit game. Plus, Arozarena has hit .300 against Kremer in his career.
