In Saturday’s loss, they went just 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position, leaving multiple opportunities on the table.

“(Friday) night we scored eight runs, we scored a bunch of runs on the road, so it’s been trending better overall,” interim manager Warren Schaeffer said. “Overall, hitting with runners in scoring position has been better.” One of the few consistent bright spots has been Tyler Freeman, who is hitting .362 over his last 15 games.
