Can Grant Enfinger rattle the cages of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers again this week? Enfinger won the opening race of the Truck Series Playoffs and moved from the bottom of the playoff picture to being the top dog. Next up on the schedule is a trip to Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia for the Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation.
The playoffs started with ten eligible drivers and Enfinger has shaken things up but comes in down the odds list at +1100. He’s also locked into the next Truck Series playoff round. But the break-away favorite heading into Saturday’s night race at Richmond is John Hunter Nemechek who comes in at +280 with the next driver, Zane Smith, at +450.
Nemechek had a great weekend last year at Richmond. He battled Ty Gibbs for the Xfinity Series win. Gibbs ended up winning the race but Nemechek led the most laps with 135 as the leader. Gibbs was out front for 114 clicks around the D-shaped oval.
During the Truck Series race the day before, the results were similar. Nemechek was the leader for 114 laps and he won over Kyle Busch. The favorites this week are all playoff hopefuls except for one driver which is Corey Heim at +600. The complete list of Truck Series Playoff drivers is below with points.
Here are the favorites to win the Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation outright:
John Hunter Nemechek +280
Zane Smith +450
Chandler Smith +575
Corey Heim +600
Carson Hocevar +600
This is the second race in the Truck playoffs and Carson Hocevar is one spot above the cutline. A win on Saturday would lock him into the next round.

2022 Worldwide Express 250 Predictions
John H. Nemechek +280
Nemechek entered the playoffs with a win on his resume, a whole bunch of stage points, and possibly more experience than many of the younger drivers in the field due to his season in the Cup Series. He was the leader of this race for 114 laps last year and beat Kyle Busch to the Checkered flag. Then he followed that up with a second-place win over Ty Gibbs in the Xfinity Series. Nemechek seems to know the rhythm of Richmond Raceway and that’s why he’s the favorite this weekend.
Zane Smith +450
Zane Smith entered into the opening race of the 2022 Camping World Truck Series Playoffs as the favorite. He has three wins this season and has already captured the title of Regular Season Champion. However, following the last race, Smith moved from the top spot to being No. 3 in the playoff points race. He would love to stop that slide with a win at Richmond. He’s not going to fall below the cutline – but he wants a good showing this week.
Grant Enfinger +1100
Grant Enfinger found a way to win during the first week of the Truck Series playoffs and he’s raced well at Richmond in the past. Last season he finished in the 8th spot but was one of the leaders for much of the race with 71 laps out front. He also collected a stage win during that race. Enfinger has shown he can get the most out of any equipment he pilots so don’t count him out.
Others: Ben Rhodes (+1200) led 66 laps here in 2020 finishing 3 rd behind Matt Crafton and Grant Enfinger. He finished 7th last season while being the leader for 11 laps. He’s raced a Truck twice at this track and finished 7th or better both times. That’s impressive! Matt Crafton (+4000) is below the cutline and needs a win. He’s raced well at Richmond in the past so this could be an opportunity. He finished 2nd here in 2020 and was the race leader last season before getting shuffled several spots late in the race.
