After a disappointing 2-4 road trip against the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers, the Twins sit four games below .500. With the trade deadline fast approaching, speculation is swirling that Minnesota might pivot toward selling rather than buying.

The uncertainty looms over several players. Pending free agents like Willi Castro, Ty France, Danny Coulombe, and Chris Paddack could all be on the move. Even core pieces like Joe Ryan, Jhoan Duran, and Griffin Jax might be dealt if the return is right.

Paddack summed up the team’s mood when asked about his future.

“I talked to my agent (this week). I’m here until they tell me otherwise,” he said. “After the deadline, everybody can kind of be humans again.”
