Kentucky vs Eastern Michigan Prediction and Picks
The Kentucky Wildcats will turn to a new quarterback when they host the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Saturday in Lexington. Freshman Cutter Boley is expected to start in place of Zach Calzada, who injured his shoulder during last week’s 30-23 loss to Ole Miss.
Boley saw limited action late against the Rebels, completing one of three passes for 38 yards. Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan (0-2) is still searching for its first win after a shocking 28-23 loss to FCS program Long Island.
Wildcats Turn to Cutter Boley
Kentucky (1-1) struggled under veteran QB Zach Calzada, who has yet to throw a touchdown this season. Calzada has completed just 47.2% of his passes for 234 yards and one interception.
Boley, who played in four games last year, will now get his chance to spark the Wildcats’ offense. Head coach Mark Stoops said Calzada needs time to heal but stressed the team’s confidence in its young quarterback.
With running back Ray Davis and wideout Dane Key leading the skill positions, Boley won’t be short on help.
Eastern Michigan Searching for Answers
The Eagles have endured a rough start, losing by 25 at Texas State and then suffering their first FCS defeat in 13 years against Long Island. Head coach Chris Creighton said the focus is on rebounding quickly.
Quarterback Noah Kim has been a bright spot, throwing for 437 yards and 3 touchdowns without an interception. Running back Dontae McMillan has been consistent, tallying 204 scrimmage yards and 2 scores.
Defensively, Bryce Llewellyn leads Eastern Michigan with 12 tackles, but the unit has surrendered 80 points in two games.

Betting Pick
Kentucky has the better roster and home advantage, but the QB change adds some uncertainty. Eastern Michigan’s defense has been porous, allowing 40 points per game, which should help the Wildcats control the tempo.
- Lean: Eastern Michigan +21.5 (backdoor cover potential)
- Total: Under 51.5
