Football season has concluded, and that means it’s time to go all-in on basketball. There is a lot of money to be made on the NBA.
The slate starts on Monday with some epic matchups. The best way to make money is by spreading your money around.
With a variety of games and betting markets, there are great opportunities to win. Let’s get into the best picks for Monday, February 14th.
Top ATS Bet: Wizards -4 (-112)
Pistons vs. Wizards Prediction
The Washington Wizards are not playing great basketball. However, they are going against a team playing horrendous basketball.
The Wizards will host the Pistons on Monday. This would be a juicy spread if the Pistons were on the road.
I love this bet because they are at home against the 12-44 Pistons. 94% of the bets are coming in for Washington at -4. Both teams have been bad recently against the spread.
Yet, when two bad teams play, I will bet on the better team. Washington is 25-30 compared to Detroit at 12-44.
Moneyline Underdog Bet: Brooklyn Nets (+148)
The Brooklyn Nets traded James Harden away to the 76ers for Ben Simmons. Kevin Durant is out indefinitely, and Kyrie Irving will not play at home. The Nets are in rough shape, but they are at home in this game.
Additionally, they are playing the Sacramento Kings. The Kings are playing on the opposite side of the country and are seven wins worse than Brooklyn. This is a different Nets team, but they have an excellent chance to pull an upset at home.
They are 12-14 at home compared to Sacramento, who is 7-19 on the road. I like the chances tonight.
Top Total Bet: OKC/Knicks Over 206 (-110)
The Thunder and Knicks have both played good defense in 2021-22. However, these teams tend to make a lot of mistakes that lead to points. New York will have to play perfectly to keep this game under.
The Knicks will blow up and give up free points to the Thunder. The total is very low at 206, and I think the score will be closer to 220 combined points.
Parlay Bet: Bulls -5 / Raptors -4.5
Spurs vs. Bulls Prediction / Raptors vs. Pelicans Prediction
There are a lot of great games to parlay on Wednesday. Favorites have been covering a lot in the NBA as of late. This is why I am taking the Bulls and Raptors on Monday.
The Bulls have been one of the best teams in basketball this season. They will have to deal with injuries to Zach LaVine on Monday. This will be hard to overcome, but the Spurs are not a good team.
The Spurs are 22-35 compared to the Bulls at 36-21. Additionally, Chicago is 33-23-1 ATS, and the majority of the bets are coming in on the Bulls.
Toronto is -4.5 tonight against the Pelicans. The Raptors are 8-1 ATS in their past nine games.
They are also 16-3 ATS in their last 19 road games against the Pelicans. Toronto could be the best bet of the night.
The combined odds of the parlay is +258. A $100 wager would pay out $358.
