Oklahoma State Cowboys at Oklahoma Sooners Picks

Cowboys vs. Sooners Betting Report

Best Bet: Oklahoma -4.5

The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners will play the first of two matchups in three days on Saturday. The first game will be played in Norman, Okla., and the simplest reason to consider backing the Cowboys in this game is because Oklahoma just lost a game to lowly Kansas State.

While the Sooners have looked like one of the top 16 teams in the nation at times, they have looked inept at others. No player on the roster personifies the Sooners’ inconsistency better than big man Brady Manek.

Manek was on his way to star status last season when he averaged over 14 points and six rebounds per game, but he has been tremendously hot and cold all season. He is averaging just 10 points and four rebounds in his senior season while shooting by far the worst percentages of his career.

Oklahoma State will boast the best player on the court in Cade Cunningham, and the Cowboys have actually fared quite well on the road this season. The Pokes are 5-3-1 against the spread in true road games and have won five of their nine games as the dog.

The Cowboys are also holding opponents to roughly 31% from behind the arc, while Oklahoma is not great from behind the arc.

You shouldn’t take the Cowboys on the moneyline, because the Sooners will likely win this game straight-up, but this game is going to go down to the wire.

Florida Gators at Kentucky Wildcats Picks

Gators vs. Wildcats Betting Report

Best Bet: Kentucky -1.5

This is the game you should take the underdog on the moneyline. The Gators have looked better in recent games and will boast the best player in this game in Tre Mann.

Kentucky has seemingly turned its season around, but it is still just 8-13 on the season. The other number worth considering is that the Wildcats are just 2-7 against the spread at home on the season and are underperforming the spread by 5.3 points per game, which is dead last in the SEC.

The Gators have won half of their true road games this season and two of their five games as the dog. Regardless of Kentucky’s recent winning ways, they are still just 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games. Take the Gators.

Belmont Bruins at Morehead State Eagles Picks

Bruins vs. Eagles Betting Report

Best Bet: Belmont -4

This is a bit of a risky pick, as Belmont has been the class of the Ohio Valley Conference for much of everyone’s recent memory. Morehead State is one of the more underrated teams in the nation, boasting a 19-7 record while also having the best cover percentage at home in the OVC at 70% on the season.

Morehead State is outperforming the spread by over six points per game, with an average margin of victory of over 11 points per game on the season. In the previous matchup this season, Belmont took the Eagles down by 15 points at home.

That game was one of Morehead State’s five least efficient games of the season. When the Eagles log an offense efficiency of 100 or better, they are 15-0.

The Eagles have logged an efficiency number less than 100 at home just three times on the season. This game should be tight wire to wire.

Minnesota Golden Gophers at Nebraska Cornhuskers Picks

Golden Gophers vs. Cornhuskers Betting Report

Best Bet: Minnesota -2

Who do you prefer? Terrible on the road while missing one of their best players, or just plain terrible? Minnesota’s struggles on the road have been well-documented over the last two seasons.

While Nebraska is just 5-7 against the spread at home on the season, the Gophers are just 1-7 ATS on the road. Minnesota is also 0-8 straight-up on the road this season. In their last five games, the Gophers are 0-4-1 against the spread.

To make matters even worse for Minnesota, Gabe Kalscheur is currently out with a broken finger on his shooting hand. He is Minnesota’s third-leading scorer.

Look for Trey McGowans to keep Marcus Carr relatively in check, though Carr often performs much more poorly on the road this season. Liam Robbins is also a huge fan of matador defense, so look for the Nebraska frontcourt to have one of their best games of the season. This game is a battle of the bad but look for the home team to cover.
