2022 March Madness Elite Eight Predictions

We have reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, and that means that there are just seven games remaining. The tournament field will get narrowed down to just four games by the end of Sunday night, but there is work to be done before that.

March Madness Bookies

There are a pair of Elite Eight games on both Saturday and Sunday, and each game presents a great betting opportunity. Here is the way that you should be leading for the Elite Eight games on Saturday and Sunday.

Houston Cougars vs. Villanova Wildcats

Houston vs. Villanova Picks

Best Bet: Houston -2.5

If you love watching teams play defense, then you will want to watch the first game on Saturday. Houston is a slight favorite over Villanova, and this game might end up in the 50s.

The Wildcats are an unbelievable offensive team, but they aren’t a team that plays fast. Houston has been shutting down everyone during this run, and they have also been making clutch shots.

This game could really go either way, but it’s hard to ignore that defense from Houston. The Cougars will get stops late to win the game and cover the small spread.

March Madness Odds

Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Duke Blue Devils

Arkansas vs. Duke Picks

Best Bet: Arkansas ML (+160)

The Duke Blue Devils are four-point betting favorites over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the West Region Final. This could arguably be the best game of the weekend as there doesn’t appear to be much separation.

Arkansas plays tough defense in the paint, but they also have shooters on the roster. Duke wants to play fast and attack the rim, but the Blue Devils are not a great defensive team.

This game will come down to toughness, and that is where Arkansas has a clear edge. The Razorbacks just stunned Gonzaga, and they are going to end the career of Coach K on Saturday night.

Miami Hurricanes vs. Kansas Jayhawks

Miami vs. Kansas Picks

Best Bet: Miami +6

The run from Saint Peter’s has overshadowed what Miami has done as they are in the Elite Eight as a number 10 seed. Miami now takes on the Kansas Jayhawks on Sunday, and it is Kansas that is the favorite in the Midwest.

Kansas is the more talented team, and Ochai Ogbaji and Remy Martin are playing well on the offensive end. Miami has a slight size advantage on the perimeter, and they are also extremely athletic.

The Hurricanes are going to push the tempo in this one, and they can force Kansas into some mistakes. The Jayhawks should be just good enough to advance, but you need to take the six points in this game.

March Madness Predictions

Saint Peter’s Peacocks vs. UNC Tar Heels

Saint Peter’s vs. UNC Picks

Best Bet: Saint Peter’s +8

The Cinderella run for Saint Peter’s continues, and this is arguably the most stunning run in NCAA Tournament history. The Peacocks will now take on the mighty North Carolina Tar Heels for a spot in the Final Four.

Once again, this feels like a game in which Saint Peter’s has no real shot. They have a size disadvantage at every single position, and North Carolina is playing their best basketball of the year.

An eight-point spread is too large, though, as this Peacocks team knows how to battle. The Tar Heels will end the dream run, but Saint Peter’s is going to keep it close.
