2025 NFL Black Friday Odds, Predictions, and How To Watch

Last Updated on

On Friday, November 28, the NFL wakes up from a Thanksgiving food coma for its annual Black Friday Football game. This year’s matchup has the makings of great leftovers as the Chicago Bears head to Pennsylvania for an NFC battle against the reigning Super Bowl champs – Philadelphia Eagles.

When first released, fans just hoped this matchup wouldn’t be a clunker. Now, as we approach the biggest shopping day of the year, this Black Friday game has become a crucial one for the NFC standings as each team leads their respective division.

The Bears (8-3) shrugged off a sluggish start to the season and enter this matchup having won four games in a row. This winning streak also pushed them to first place in the NFC North standings, just a half game ahead of the Packers.

The Eagles (8-3) sport an identical record as the Bears but are coming off a meltdown in the Big D in Week 12.  Philly was up 21 points before collapsing and allowing their divisional rival to pull off the shocking upset. However, the Eagles still lead the NFC East by 2 ½ games.

Black Friday football is the NFL’s strategic effort to take over the entire Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The league begins Week 13 with three games on Thanksgiving and follows the Black Friday matchup with 11 games on Sunday and one game on Monday.

But that’s not all; as the NFL has also overtaken the NBA annual holiday slate of action with their own gridiron festivities on Christmas Day.

Let’s take a look at the Black Friday matchup, check out the latest NFL betting odds, and make our Week 13 NFL picks for the Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles.

Black Friday NFL Game Matchup

These two NFL Teams have played against each other 47 times, which includes four postseason matchups, as well. The Chicago Bears hold the advantage in this rivalry with a 29-17-1 series record.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles have dominated this series in recent years. They’re 12-4 SU in the last 16 head-to-head meetings. Furthermore, Philly has gone 6-0 SU against the Bears over the last handful of years.

Additionally, they’re 5-1 ATS over that span, as well. Chicago is a measly 2-5 SU in their last seven trips to Philadelphia and have lost three straight games there.

The last time Philly and Chicago met was in December 2022. The Eagles won that contest by the score of 25-20.

Black Friday Football Predictions

Let’s take a closer look at the Black Friday matchup and make our winning NFL picks

Chicago Bears Black Friday

As mentioned above, the Chicago Bears have won four games in a row. Yet, all four wins were by one score and a few of them came down to the final possession of the game.

Some of you might be surprised to know that the Bears have a Top 10 offense as they are 6th in scoring (26.3 ppg), 6th in total yards (369.6 ypg), 8th in 3rd Down conversions (42.18%), 8th in TDs per game (2.8), 2nd in rushing (142.3 ypg), and 12th in passing (227.4 ypg).

With that said, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Chicago is playing this well on offense. They made a concerted effort to improve the offensive line which has greatly paid off. The Bears have the 6th lowest sack rate allowed (4.44%) and they’re one of the best rushing offenses in the league.

With an upright Caleb Williams, Chicago’s offense has been balanced and downright scary at times. They put up 31 points on the Steelers last weekend and are only a few games removed from their 47-point explosion against the Bengals.

I expect this team to play with confidence and aim to upset the Eagles in their home stadium.

Philadelphia Eagles Black Friday

The Philadelphia Eagles should be thankful for a relatively healthy season to date. However, I see this team being frustrated and wanting to take their anger out on the Bears. Typically, Super Bowl champs don’t meltdown like the Eagles did at Dallas last weekend.

With that said, this team has struggled on offense, but should find success on Friday as the Bears don’t have a great defense. In particular, look for Philly’s running game to excel as Chicago gives up 138.1 rushing yards per game, which is the 5th most in the NFL.

Also, I like the duo of Brown and Smith against Chicago’s secondary as the Bears allow 224.7 passing yards per game and don’t register a great deal of sacks either.

Look for Jalen Hurts to play better, as well. He’s been the subject of public and private criticism that seems to happen on an annual basis. Yet, he elevates his game heading into the Playoffs and that usually begins around this time of the season.

Who Wins The Black Friday Game?

The advantage in this game goes to Philadelphia’s defense. This unit has been lethal over the last month despite the collapse in Dallas last weekend. I see them shutting down this prolific Chicago offense.

Philly has won three straight games at home over the Bears. Additionally, the Eagles are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings against Chicago.

I like Philly in this game. They will bounce back to win. However, I do think Chicago can keep this game within seven points or less. Lastly, I am skipping the Total. We could get a low scoring game or a shootout. Too much uncertainty for me.

Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-315), Bears +7 (-110), Total (pass)

Black Friday Football Prop Bets

Let’s take a look at some of the best Player props and Game prop bets for this Black Friday Football game:

Saquon Barkley Rushing Yards

  • Over 75.5 yards (-110)
  • Under 75.5 yards (-110)

While the Chicago Bears allow 138.1 rushing yards per game, I don’t see Saquon Barkley getting more than 75 rushing yards. In 11 games to date, Barkley has eclipsed this mark in just three of those games.

Furthermore, Barkley had only 22 rushing yards against Dallas last week. How is that possible when Dallas has one of the worst run defenses?

Philly’s ground game will need Hurts to do more damage this week. Although there is a small chance that Barkley could break a long run, the odds are more likely that he’s bottled up and held closer to his season average of 62.2 rushing yards per game.

Bet: Under 75.5 yards (-110)

D’Andre Swift Rushing Yards

  • Over 40.5 yards (-110)
  • Under 40.5 yards (-110)

This line is just crazy. For the season, D’Andre Swift is averaging 64.9 rushing yards per game which is more than Barkley. While he only rushed for 15 yards last week, Swift has eclipsed 41 yards in seven of his 10 starts this season.

The Eagles allowed 87 yards to Javonte Williams of Dallas last weekend. They give up over 115 rushing yards per game. I see Swift having an impact on this matchup and getting at least 50 rushing yards.

Bet: Over 40.5 yards (-110)

Best Bets For Black Friday Football

Check out our best Black Friday football bets:

  • Philadelphia Eagles (-315)
  • Saquon Barkley Under 75.5 yards (-110)
  • D’Andre Swift Over 40.5 yards (-110)

I like the Eagles in this game. They’ve gone 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in their last six games against the Bears. Additionally, they’ve won three games in a row at home over Chicago. The Eagles are going to want revenge for their Dallas meltdown last weekend.

While I like the Eagles to win, I don’t see Barkley having a monster game. He’s averaging a tick over 62 yards per game this season. Additionally, eight of his 11 starts have seen him fail to get 76 rushing yards. So, take the Under for Barkley’s rushing total.

Conversely, I like Chicago’s ground game to find some success. Most notably, I think Swift can get at least 50 rushing yards, which is 10 more than the O/U above. Swift is averaging almost 65 rushing yards per game and has eclipsed 41 yards in seven of his 10 games so far.
