The next Olympic women’s soccer tournament is at the LA28 Games in Los Angeles, which run from July 14 to 30, 2028. The United States won the last gold on August 10, 2024, beating Brazil 1-0 in the final at Parc des Princes in Paris.

The United States won three knockout games by a goal each, and two of them went to extra time. It scored three goals in the knockout rounds and conceded none. Brazil knocked out the host, France, in the quarterfinals and then beat Spain by two goals.
Two of the four quarterfinals were settled on penalties, both 4-2. Spain came through one shootout and lost its next two games, to Brazil and to Germany.

When a board goes up, read each price as a chance: +200 implies 33.3%, +400 implies 20% and +800 implies 11.1%. A futures bet is worth making only when you rate a team’s chance higher than the price does. In Paris, four of the eight knockout games went to extra time or penalties, so a short price on a favorite still carries the risk of a shootout.
