A tradition unlike any other, the 22nd Puppy Bowl returns on Sunday, February 8, for the annual clash of cuteness, cuddles and call-to adoption as Team Fluff and Team Ruff battle for the prestigious Lombarky Trophy.
These lovable teams comprise of at least 150 puppies from 72 shelters throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands. Every year it seems that this beloved competition gets bigger.
One of the biggest changes to this year’s Puppy Bowl, is the special exhibition game that features senior dogs as Team Oldies take on Team Goldies. There’s no age discrimination here as puppies of the elder community will take center stage.
The Puppy Bowl Kickoff show will air at 1pm ET with its Combine, which debuted last year. There’s a buzz over the possibility of a new halftime show, as well. I’m willing to bet that this segment will rival whatever Bad Bunny does in his Super Bowl Half-Time Show.
As someone who has covered the Puppy Bowl since 2019, and has watched since its debut in 2005, it’s become an annual tradition with my family. In fact, there are some years that I prefer watching the Puppy Bowl over the Super Bowl.
With that said, let’s take a look at the latest Puppy Bowl odds, courtesy of the top sports betting sites, and make our 2026 Puppy Bowl predictions.

Puppy Bowl Predictions
Check out our predictions for the 22nd edition of the loveable Puppy Bowl:
Winning TD Scorer’s Gender
- Male (+150)
- Female (-200)
It’s hard to imagine that a male puppy would be more inspired to score the winning touchdown than trying to get to know a female puppy. There’s a reason why the female option is the clear-cut favorite – that’s due to the gender’s determination to win this game.
Females like Showgirl and Miss Coco provide star power to their respective teams and could easily score the final touchdown of the game. Additionally, there are a number of female pups that I think could be the most talented participants in this game. Check out my list of these puppies, further below.
Bet: Female (-200)
Total Points Scored In Game
- Over 195.5 points (-120)
- Under 195.5 points (-120)
Since the Puppy Bowl started keeping score in 2015 (Puppy Bowl XI), no battle for the Lombarky Trophy has come close to 195 total points. The highest scoring Puppy Bowl of all-time came in 2023, when the two teams combined to score 170 points. Team Fluff won that Puppy Bowl (no.19) in Overtime by the score of 87 to 83.
Last year, the teams combined to score 134 points. Two years ago, they combined for 141 points. The highest score for one team came at Puppy Bowl 13 when Team Fluff scored 93 points. Yet, that year, Team Ruff scored just 38 points which remains the lowest team total in Puppy Bowl history.
Like I said last year, the oddsmakers got this Total wrong. Of all the Puppy Bowl wagers, this is my favorite one. Smash that Under!
Bet: Under 195.5 points (-120)
Puppy Bowl Winner
- Team Ruff (-130)
- Team Fluff (-110)
Since Puppy Bowl organizers started keeping track of winners in 2015, Team Fluff leads this epic rivalry with a 6-5 record. They broke the tie last year by defeating Team Ruff via two points. Team Fluff has won three of the last four games. They were also a -130 favorite in Puppy Bowl 21.
This year, Team Ruff is the favorite and I think there’s merit to this as I would not be surprised if organizers want the series to end up tied again.
Puppies like Carrie Pawshaw and her wild looking eyes, Lobster roll and her ambition, Rupaw and her bold energy, and Button who has the energy of three dogs make Team Ruff a formidable squad.
Take Team Ruff to get their 6th Puppy Bowl win. The last six Puppy Bowls have been decided by four points or less. So, let’s go with that trend for this weekend’s game.
Bet: Team Ruff (-130)
