Best MLB Moneyline Underdog Picks for Tuesday, April 12th 2022

The 2022 Major League Baseball season is in full swing after an opening week filled with excitement, fast starts, and walk-off beauties.

Where to Bet on MLB Online

There are no perfect teams left in the entire league, showing the increase in parity; both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox have been early disappointments, while the Toronto Blue Jays have been the team to watch because of their powerful hitting and plate dominance.

Without further ado, here are the best underdog bets for Tuesday’s games.

New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Mets vs. Phillies Predictions

Best Bet: Mets ML (+137)

The New York Mets head into this National League East matchup with a record of 3-2, while their opponents are a slightly better 3-1.

Philly won the first matchup in this series on Monday 5-4 behind a five-run eighth inning that did all of the damage the home team needed; however, New York outplayed the Phillis for most of the early-week affair and can be confident in themselves heading into the rematch on Tuesday.

The biggest problem for the Mets will be getting past Zack Wheeler, who had an All-Star year in 2021 and is penned in to get the start on Tuesday. However, the Mets currently boast the fifth-best batting average in all of baseball and are playing with a certain level of confidence that has been absent from their side of the Big Apple in recent years.

Watch for the Mets to score an early run or two and maintain a narrow margin to a victory.

MLB Underdog Odds

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees

Blue Jays vs. Yankees Predictions

Best Bet: Blue Jays ML (+111)

The Toronto Blue Jays are a terrifyingly explosive offensive unit that can light up the scoreboard at the quickest of moments; they are tied for the second-most home runs in baseball and have capable guys throughout their batting order.

The real concern for this team was pitching, and after getting off to a worrisome start, they managed to shut out the Yankees in Monday’s meeting.

The Pinstripers are a -1 in total run differential and are yet to eclipse six runs in a game thus far, which does not bode well for their chances against a team that can score ten runs at a moment’s notice.

Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo have both had decent starts to their years, but unless they produce some magic tonight, there is a strong chance that the underdog Jays win their second straight game in Yankee Stadium.

MLB Underdog Picks

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Minnesota Twins

Dodgers vs. Twins Predictions

Best Bet: Twins ML (+122)

The Minnesota Twins are actually ahead of the Blue Jays for the most homers in all of baseball and are only four spots behind the Dodgers in batting average.

They have an experienced fifth starter rounding out their rotation (and taking the field Tuesday night) in Chris Archer, who tossed a 4.66 ERA in six appearances last season.

LA is starting Andrew Heaney, who had a much worse 7.32 ERA in his 12 games last season— with the Dodgers still struggling to find their rhythm and looking vulnerable, and the Twins coming off of back-to-back wins, there is a decent chance the unsuspecting Minnesota boys knock off the perennial World Series favorites.
