Complete 2024 PGA TOUR Schedule With Dates and Courses

The 2024 PGA TOUR schedule has been released and there are several differences from seasons past. One of the biggest changes is that the TOUR is returning to a schedule that is a complete calendar-year format. This was done as an effort to add some more downtime between the end of one season to the next.

The other massive change is a modification to a change that started last season when we were introduced to what is now termed Signature Events. As of the new season, there are a total of eight Signature Events with increased purses. However, only three of these “designated” tournaments will include a traditional 36-hole cut. Here is the complete 2024 PGA TOUR schedule with dates and courses.

What the New 2024 PGA TOUR Schedule Includes

The 2024 PGA TOUR schedule has 36 regular-season events with three postseason events, including the season-ending Tour Championship. Eight of the regular-season events will now be designated as Signature Events. Now, you have to add in the four Majors as well as the Players Championship.

In total, there will be 36 regular-season events and three postseason tournaments on the calendar with eight receiving signature status alongside the 50th playing of The Players Championship and the four major championships.

No-cut events will include The Sentry, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the RBC Heritage, the Wells Fargo Championship, the Travelers Championship and the three season-ending FedEx Cup Playoffs tournaments.

Signature events will not be mandatory for top players in 2024.

700 FedEx Cup points awarded to the winner of signature events.

Signature Events qualifications will be the top 50 finishers from the prior season’s FedEx Cup standings, the top 10 in that year’s FedEx Cup standings (not otherwise exempt), the top five points earners from full-field events between signature events (not otherwise exempt), the top 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings and all tournament winners from the current season.

Each signature event will also have four sponsor exemptions.

Three of the eight Signature Events will have 36-hole cuts with 80 players cut down to the top 50 and ties. The three tournaments using this format are the Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament.

Here’s where the Signature Events separate! The three listed above will have 36-hole cuts, but the remaining will not. Those “No Cut” tournaments will be The Sentry, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, RBC Heritage, Wells Fargo Championship, Travelers Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs.

A Few Changes to Make Note Of

Let’s talk money! The purses across the PGA TOUR schedule have risen due to the addition of Signature Events. There is another increased amount that will be on the line for players to reach for. The $18 million awarded to the 2023 FedEx Champion will increase to $25 million in 2024.

The 2024 Paris Olympics has played a role in how the 2024 PGA TOUR schedule was planned. The Olympics will be held between Friday, July 26, through Sunday, August 11. This will happen just before the Wyndham Championship and will push that tournament back a week along with the remaining portion of the schedule. This includes the postseason and a visit to East Lake for the title.

Also, after a perceived snub from the PGA TOUR last season, the 2024 Pebble Beach Pro-Am will now be a Signature Event instead of the WM Phoenix Open. The argument from fans and pundits was that the rowdy Phoenix Open would always attract the best players while Pebble Beach, a historic tournament, was hurting for big names.

The 2024 PGA TOUR schedule has undergone some changes when compared to last season. However, the average golf fan may not notice. There will still be large and small events. The MAJORS will all still take place and the Olympics have been added in for some bonus swings of the sticks. The single largest difference between the upcoming season and seasons in the past is the amount of money being paid out. Golf will still be played and exciting finishes will be mixed in with ho-hum Sundays as always. Hopefully, the number of exciting finishes will increase.
