MLB Hits Props Picks for Wednesday, May 25th 2022

It’s another full day of MLB action as the season approaches Memorial Day. The New York Yankees continue to have the best record in the American League.

MLB Bookies

World Series favorites, the Los Angeles Dodgers own the best record in the National League with the New York Mets not far behind.

Much of the Yankees, Dodgers, and Mets success so far has been due to their ability to hit the ball. Today, we look at the top MLB hits props picks for Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Alex Bregman – UNDER 0.5 (+165)

Guardians vs. Astros Picks

Bregman has been slumping this season. He’s hitting just .230, but he has had a hit in each of the Astros last three games.

Where Bregman struggles is against right-handed pitching. So far in 2022, he’s hitting just .189 against righties. For his career, Bregman hits .310 against left-handers.

Tonight, Bregman faces Cleveland right-hander Cal Quantrill. After three straight games with a hit, Bregman cools off and goes hitless.

MLB Betting Lines

Jurickson Profar – UNDER 0.5 (+130)

Brewers vs. Padres Picks

The Padres’ Profar will go up against San Diego pitcher Aaron Ashby late this afternoon. Profar has typically done well against Milwaukee pitchers.

Ashby, a right-hander, is 0-3 with a 3.49 ERA this season. Profar is batting just .216 and did not get a hit in last night’s 4-1 loss to the Brewers.

Profar does not hit right-handers that well. This season, he’s hitting .220 against righties (22-of-100). He will struggle today.

Tommy Pham – UNDER 0.5 (+190)

Cubs vs. Reds Picks

Pham was supposed to inject some life into the Reds offense after the losses of Nick Castellanos and Jesse Winker in free agency.

Pham hasn’t quite done that. So far in 2022, he’s batting .218 and he has just one hit in his last five games. He’s 1-for-17 over that span.

Cincinnati as a team bats just .217 and ranks near the bottom of most offensive statistical categories. Pham is one of the reasons why and he’ll continue his slump tonight.

MLB Predictions

Kyle Schwarber – OVER 0.5 (-125)

Phillies vs. Braves Picks

Schwarber is batting just .206, but recently he has been on a tear. Over the last week, Schwarber is hitting .333.

He’s 7-for-22 with two doubles and a homer. He’s also reached base on six walks. Schwarber appears to be seeing the ball well. He has hit safely in six of the Phillies last seven games.

Schwarber will go up against Atlanta’s Charlie Morton tonight. Morton is having a rough go of it so far. He’s 3-3 with a 4.95 ERA. In his last start, Morton allowed three earned runs on seven hits against Miami. The Marlins are not exactly lighting it up at the plate.

Take Schwarber to continue his streak against Morton and the Braves tonight.
