MLB Player Props Picks for Monday, June 20th 2022

Major League Baseball kicks off the new week with lots of new series. There will be new chances for teams to move up and down their division ladders.

MLB Sportsbooks

The Cleveland Guardians finished off a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers with a win. That brought them within one game of the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central. The Milwaukee Brewers’ three-game win streak drew them level with the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central.

Here are the best player props for the athletes on these teams competing for position.

Miguel Cabrera to Record a Hit (-240)

Tigers vs. Red Sox Predictions

Any odds above -200 are usually considered undesirable because of how large the risk-reward ratio is. That means this pick would become more enticing when combined into a parlay— regardless of how it is used. However, it is one of the biggest steals on the entire sportsbook.

Cabrera has been a model of consistency this season. Batting .297, he has at least one hit in five games and in 12 of 15 games this month. I’d practically guarantee he comes through once again. This bet has more profitable odds than Victor Reyes, Harold Castro, and Trevor Story getting hits, among others.

MLB Odds

Shane McClanahan Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-102)

Yankees vs. Rays Predictions

McClanahan has been flat-out outstanding for the Tampa Bay Rays this season. However, he will have his hands full with the New York Yankees. They have an assembly of talented long-ball hitters that have all been fairly to extremely consistent this season.

The Rays’ ace, to his credit, reached seven strikeouts in both of his appearances against the Yankees this season. Totaling 13 innings in the process, and is averaging more than 1.3 strikeouts per inning. With Tampa depending on another strong outing from him, expect him to see 7+ innings of work and get somewhere between eight and nine K’s.

Miles Mikolas Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-158)

Cardinals vs. Brewers Predictions

Mikolas is not exactly a blow-it-by-you pitcher. His last time on the mound when he was one strikeout away from a no-hitter. Yet he still only managed six strikeouts.

He is also averaging a hair over .8 strikeouts per inning and about six innings of action per appearance. This would put his average K’s per game under the total.

He will be facing a Milwaukee Brewers team that does not hit a ton of home runs. However, they have a decent batting average that could rattle him.

MLB Picks

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to Record an RBI (+105)

Blue Jays vs. White Sox Predictions

Guerrero Jr. has not had the season that many would have liked or expected. But he is still leading his team in home runs and RBIs. He’s primed for success coming off a two-RBI outing against the New York Yankees.

Guerrero and the Jays will also have the benefit of facing Lance Lynn. Lynn allowed three earned runs in 4.1 innings against the Detroit Tigers in his only prior appearance this season.

Mike Trout to Record an RBI (+110)

Royals vs. Angels Predictions

Trout has hit a home run in three straight games for a total of five RBIs. This should have him in good spirits heading into a game against the struggling Kansas City Royals. Trout is very streaky, so gobble up his props while he is riding a heater.
