Today, Milwaukee and Golden State are at home looking to take a 2-1 lead in their respective playoff series.
The Bucks shot poorly from three-point range and managed just 86 points in their Game 2 loss to Boston.
Ja Morant went off for 47 points and the Memphis defense forced Golden State into a similar poor shooting night. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined to shoot just 5-of-23 from behind the arc. Who will be on (or off) their game tonight? Here are the best NBA player props picks for Saturday, May 7th 2022.
Jrue Holiday Over 7.5 Assists
The Bucks will have to push the pace some if they want to beat Boston at home today. That means Holiday is going to have to get creative and find Giannis Antetokounmpo all game long.
Holiday averages seven assists a game in the postseason. Since April 7, he has had eight assists or more three times. One of those times was against Boston on April 7.
At +106, we’ll take Holiday to push the tempo of today’s game and go Over 7.5 Assists.
Marcus Smart Under 13.5 Points
Smart did not play in Game 2 due to a quad injury. He’ll be back today, but won’t find his groove on offense.
In Game 1 against the Bucks, Smart shot just 3-of-11 from the floor and wound up with 10 points. He averages 12.1 points per game for the season.
Smart, the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year, will have his hands full chasing Holiday around and trying to disrupt the Milwaukee offense. Plus, after missing Game 2, Smart will need some time to get acclimated to playoff basketball again.
Ja Morant Over 8.5 Assists
Grizzlies vs. Warriors Predictions
Memphis heads to the Chase Center to take on Golden State. Morant offers the star power and is coming off a 47-point outburst in Game 2. We all know he can score, but many forget about his passing skills.
Morant averaged 6.7 assists per game during the regular season, but he has been outstanding in the postseason. The Grizzlies point guard averages 10.1 assists per game so far in the playoffs.
He’s gone Over 8.5 in four of the Grizzlies eight playoff games. With the Warriors attempting to keep him from scoring 40-plus again, Morant will dish out plenty of dimes tonight.
Andrew Wiggins Over 1.5 Made Threes
Stephen Curry is going to get his fair share of threes and total points, but Wiggins is a key factor in Golden State’s quest for an NBA title.
He averages 17.2 points per game and shoots 39.3 percent from three-point range. Now, he has hit exactly one three-pointer in each of the Warriors last four games. He did have two games against the Nuggets in which he had two threes.
After a slower paced Game 2, look for the tempo to pick up. Wiggins will get his attempts and hit at least two from long range. Plus, the price is right at +140.
