NFL Week 17 Moneyline Underdog Picks

It’s the final week of the 2020 NFL regular season. Amazingly, we made it through an entire season without cancelling one game. Overall, things went pretty smoothly.

Bettors have fared fairly well betting on underdogs this season. Coach Rick liked Carolina to upset Washington last week. So did one bettor who laid down half a million on the Panthers.

Carolina’s upset win netted that bettor $434,782.60. Is there another one out there this week?

Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams Picks

The Cardinals-Rams Sunday matchup is essentially a play-in game. The winner will advance to the postseason and the loser is likely eliminated. Arizona travels to L.A. as a four-point underdog, but is in a perfect position to pull the upset.

Arizona could have moved closer to securing a playoff berth with a win over an ailing San Francisco, but the Cards lost to the Niners 20-12.

The big question is whether or not Jared Goff is going to play for the Rams. Goff dislocated his thumb in last Sunday’s loss to Seattle. The Rams quarterback hit his thumb on a helmet. Goff then went ahead and popped it back into place and kept playing. He was unable to lead a Rams comeback against Seattle.

If Goff does play, his effectiveness might be limited as it was against Seattle. If the Rams are going to win this, it will be their defense that does it. They limited Arizona to 232 yards in the first meeting this season.

With a postseason berth on the line, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is going to lead Arizona to its first win in eight games against the Rams.

NFL Week 17 Expert Predictions

Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles Picks

Coming off a loss to Carolina last week, the Football Team must beat Philadelphia to win the NFC East and make the playoffs. Most bettors tend to shy away from teams that just lost, underdogs, and road teams.

That is the Football team this week – a road underdog coming off a loss. Remarkably, investing in road dogs of a loss is quite profitable. Since 2019, they are 86-63-5 ATS.

Washington is likely to get QB Alex Smith back from a calf injury and WR Terry McLaurin back from an ankle injury. The Eagles, on the other hand, are beat up and were eliminated from the postseason when they lost to Dallas 37-17 last week.

How the Eagles are favored is beyond Coach Rick’s pay grade, but get in while you can. The Football Team has too much to play for on Sunday.

Best Moneyline Pick: WASHINGTON +100

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Picks

When this game ends on Sunday, the winner will still have a chance to capture the NFC East title. If Washington loses the Sunday night game, the winner of the Cowboys-Giants wins the division and earns a playoff berth.

The Giants had the inside track on the division crown but have lost their last three games in a row. Dallas, on the other hand, has won three straight averaging 36 points per game in the process.

Everything points to Dallas in this one. The three-game win streak plus the 7-0 record straight up in the last seven games against the Giants seems to give the edge to the Cowboys.

But, the Giants actually led Dallas 34-31 with 8:49 to play in their first meeting with the Cowboys this season. They gave up two Greg Zuerlein field goals, including the second with no time on the clock in a 37-34 loss.

New York does play solid defense, which should keep them in the game and playing in the cold weather in New Jersey might help as well. The Giants pull the upset and wait to find out if they make the postseason.

Best Moneyline Pick: GIANTS +130
