We have eight NHL match-ups to enjoy and bet on this Thursday. Accordingly, I have analyzed the odds to find the best NHL player props for today’s games. Read on to unearth my recommended picks.
Kyle Connor – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-105)
Jets vs. Blue Jackets Prediction
The Winnipeg Jets will be confident of extending their winning streak to four games when they face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday. After all, the Jets find themselves second in the Central Division, while the Blue Jackets sit rock bottom of the Metroplitan Division.
Having registered 3+ shots on goal in eight of his previous 10 appearances, Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor looks destined to enjoy plenty of success against struggling Columbus. No Jets player has achieved more shots on goal than Connor this season, making the over 3.5 SOG wager very attractive here.
David Pastrnak – Over 1.5 Points (+150)
Bruins vs. Predators Prediction
Only four players have racked up more points than David Pastrnak this season. The Boston Bruins superstar has recorded 39 goals and 35 assists in 2022-23, meaning he has 74 points under his belt (1.4 points per game).
The Bruins sit at the summit of the Atlantic Division with a whopping 40 wins to their name, while the Nashville Predators find themselves fifth in the Central Division, having claimed 25 wins this season. Priced at +150, backing Pastrnak to notch over 1.5 points makes a lot of sense.
Dylan Larkin – Over 0.5 Points (-175)
Red Wings vs. Flames Prediction
Having chalked up seven points across the past three games, Dylan Larkin will aim to enhance his tally when the Detroit Red Wings – who have won each of their previous four outings – face the Calgary Flames on Thursday.
After registering five points across back-to-back games against the Vancouver Canucks, Larkin grabbed a goal and an assist when the Red Wings beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 on Wednesday. For that reason, he shouldn’t struggle to record a point against Calgary.
Oliver Bjorkstrand – Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-105)
No Seattle Kraken player has racked up more shots on goal than Oliver Bjorkstrand this season. The Danish winger averages 2.5 shots on goal per game in 2022-23, having registered 2+ SOG in seven of his previous 10 appearances.
Thanks largely to Bjorkstrand’s efforts, the Kraken have won 12 of their last 20 games. On Thursday, the Kraken host the Philadelphia Flyers, who sit second from bottom in the Metropolitan Division. Accordingly, I’m backing Bjorkstrand to notch over 2.5 shots on goal.
Chandler Stephenson – Over 0.5 Assists (-105)
Sharks vs. Golden Knights Prediction
The Vegas Golden Knights find themselves at the summit of the Pacific Division following a run of three straight wins. At the opposite end of the standings, the San Jose Sharks sit second from bottom, having claimed just 17 wins this season.
Vegas’ Chandler Stephenson has chalked up six assists across his last eight outings, taking his tally for the season to 35 in 54 games. Given the gulf between Vegas and San Jose, Stephenson looks set to enhance his assists tally on Thursday.
