The NHL betting opportunities keep on coming this Tuesday, December 13th, with no fewer than 12 games on the schedule. Consequently, there are tons of exciting NHL player props to take advantage of.
We have plenty of high-profile match-ups to look forward to, including a mouth-watering showdown between the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights. What more could you ask for on a Tuesday night?
Without further ado, here are my recommended NHL player props picks for Tuesday, December 13th.
Dawson Mercer – Over 0.5 Goals (+250)
Dawson Mercer enjoyed a game to remember last time out. The New Jersy Devils youngster notched a goal and an assist against the New York Rangers, in addition to three shots on goal.
Although the Devils suffered a 4-3 defeat on Monday, I can see them bouncing back against the Dallas Stars. The Stars lost 2-1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins last time out, so I expect Mercer to enjoy more success at Prudential Center.
David Pastrnak – Over 4.5 SOG (-112)
Only one player – Timo Meier – has registered more shots on goal than David Pastrnak this season. The Czech superstar has racked up 136 SOG in 27 appearances, meaning he averages just over five SOG per game in 2022-23.
Pastrnak registered a whopping nine shots on goal against the Arizona Coyotes last weekend. With that in mind, he shouldn’t struggle to achieve over 4.5 SOG when the Boston Bruins host the New York Islanders.
Connor McDavid – Over 0.5 Goals (-114)
Connor McDavid is well on his way to securing more silverware this season. The Edmonton Oilers sensation has chalked up more goals than anyone else in 2022-23, netting 25 in 29 games.
The four-time Art Ross Trophy winner has smashed in six goals across the past five games, bagging doubles against the Montreal Canadiens and Arizona. The Nashville Predators are on a three-game losing streak, so McDavid looks destined to score on Tuesday.
Alex Ovechkin – Over 3.5 SOG (-170)
Capitals vs. Blackhawks Preview
Believe it or not, the Washington Capitals boast the second-longest winning streak in the NHL – having won each of their past four games. By contrast, the Chicago Blackhawks head into Tuesday’s showdown on a three-game losing run.
As the Blackhawks prepare to host the Capitals, only three players sit above Alex Ovechkin on the SOG leaderboard. The Russian has accumulated 25 shots across the past four games, meaning he should reach over 3.5 SOG without any problems on Tuesday.
Pierre-Luc Dubois – Over 0.5 Goals (+140)
Golden Knights vs. Jets Preview
The Jets find themselves at the summit of the Central Division with 18 wins to their name. Winnipeg has claimed seven victories across the past ten games, thanks largely to the exploits of Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Dubois netted a double against the St. Louis Blues last weekend before adding to the goal tally against Washington last time out. The Golden Knights will be difficult to beat on Tuesday, but Dubois will be confident of netting another goal.
