The English Premier League is drawing closer to its final stages as races for the title, top four, and relegation define the late-stage drama.
Manchester City and Liverpool drew 2-2 in the headlining match of last weekend’s action, while Chelsea’s decisive 6-0 victory over Southampton was the most impressive performance.
Not every team will be playing this weekend because of the ongoing FA Cup, but there is still enough action to get everyone through the weekend.
Here are the best games to bet on.
Top Match Winner: Manchester United (-440)
Norwich City vs. Manchester United Preview
Manchester United has not had the season that it hoped for during the offseason, but now that the club has come to an agreement with new manager Erik ten Hag and they are playing the last-place team in the league, they will have clear minds.
Star Cristiano Ronaldo could also do with grabbing a goal after the controversy he caused by smashing an opposing fan’s phone on the ground last weekend, so he should be extra motivated to put his name in the news for a different reason.
Norwich did win last weekend and has scored in five of its last six matches, but their overall team severely lacks in talent, especially compared to a team as talented as Manchester United. Even if they sneak a goal, there is a chance that the Red Devils fire at least double that past them.
Asian Handicap: Brentford PK (-120)
Brentford has been very good lately, a fact which has been overshadowed by the stigma surrounding them and the majority of their season.
However, they have quickly risen to 13th in the Premier League table and have won four of their last five matches, outscoring Chelsea and West ham 6-1 in their last two outings.
Watford, meanwhile, has offered little-to-no resistance to most of its opponents, so having the chance to get Brentford for decent odds and still win some money even if they draw cannot be passed up.
Parlay: Tottenham Hotspur (-185) / Arsenal (-105)
Tottenham is on a serious hot streak as they have stormed into the top four and are playing their best football of the season. Heung-Min Son is also in spectacular form, coming off of a hat-trick last weekend, while Harry Kane is his usual, ever-present self.
Spurs’ work rate has also drastically improved ever since the January transfer window, and they should have no problems breaking down a Brighton side that has gotten worse as the season progressed.
Arsenal, meanwhile, suffered two disappointing losses recently and needs a win to maintain its hopes of achieving Champions League qualification. Even if they win and Tottenham loses, they will still be behind on goal difference, but with a game in hand.
Southampton also just lost 6-0, which does not bode well for their confidence this weekend.
The only potential pitfall here is Arsenal’s injuries, which have been the primary reason for their recent slump and forced other impactful players to start outside of their regular positions.
