The NBA season is coming to a close, with the playoffs beginning. However, before the official playoffs start, we must look at the Play-In tournament.
The Timberwolves and Nets punched their tickets to the playoffs. On Wednesday, the Hornets, Hawks, Spurs, and Pelicans will all have an opportunity.
These games should be epic, but player props may be the best way to profit. Player props limit liability, so it’s worth taking a shot on these stars. Here are my best NBA player props for Wednesday, April 13.
LaMelo Ball Under 23.5 Points
LaMelo Ball’s point total is very high in this game. It’s positioned at 23 points, but he is averaging 20.1 PPG on the season.
Additionally, he is dropping just 18.7 PPG against the Hawks this season. It’s hard to trust Ball to score the extra points in this game.
The sportsbooks have boosted his total because it’s a playoff game. Nevertheless, if the Hawks play well, they will control this game. The reason Ball has struggled against Atlanta is because of their defense.
He is shooting just 35.3% from the field. This gives me no choice but to bet on the under.
Terry Rozier Over 20.5 Points
If LaMelo Ball takes a backseat, Terry Rozier will step up in big spots for the team. Rozier’s point total is just 20.5 points.
This is a number he can get to with ease if shots are falling. Rozier is averaging 19.3 PPG, but he has gone over this total in two of his past three games.
I like Rozier to have the hot hand in this matchup. He has shot over 50% from the field in his past three games. He needs to bring this on Wednesday night.
Trae Young Under 31.5 Points
Trae Young is the fourth leading scorer in the NBA, averaging 28.4 PPG. The Hawks are explosive, and Young leads the charge.
However, this point total is way too high for comfort. He is averaging just 20.8 PPG in four games against Charlotte.
The Hornets force Young into making mistakes. This is evident by his meager 37.7% shooting numbers from the floor.
The number is too high for me to take the over in this contest. I think Young has a bigger night when it comes to assists.
Keldon Johnson Over 5.5 Rebounds
Keldon Johnson is the man with the plan on the glass. He has been very consistent rebounding this season, averaging 6.1 per night. This is nothing special, but his consistency is an appeal.
He has gone over this total in his past three games against big teams. The Pelicans give Johnson the opportunity to dominate on the glass.
Dejounte Murray Over 1.5 Threes
Dejounte Murray is going to take shots from behind the arc. The biggest question is how many will fall once he takes the shot.
In his last game, he was just 1 of 6 from three-point land. However, in his game prior, he was 6 of 9 from behind the arc.
Murray will take deep shots, so I have to trust he will make two in this contest.
