Stanford Cardinal vs. Syracuse Orange

The Stanford Cardinal will make their ACC Conference debut after ditching the Pac 12 and heading to greener pastures. Unlike Cal, Stanford actually has a winnable game. These two football programs have never played against each other. So, the College Football Week 4 matchup will be a historic encounter for the schools and fans.  

California Golden Bears vs. Florida State Seminoles

This is probably the cruelest way to welcome a team to the conference as the California Golden Bears take on the ACC Conference’s best team – Florida State Seminoles. Like Stanford, Cal ditched the Pac 12 for the ACC, which felt that the two schools fit well within their academic profile and athletics programs. Unfortunately, the disparity in the football programs between these two schools will be evident. 

Northwestern Wildcats vs. Washington Huskies

The Washington Huskies make their Big Ten debut in Week 4. However, it will be against an opponent that they have faced before – Northwestern Wildcats. Albeit, the two teams haven’t played in 40 years. Washington owns a 3-0 record against Northwestern and hope to kick off their Big 10 debut with a win. 

Let’s see how the Huskies look in this matchup considering they will be coming off a big rivalry game against Washington State in Week 3. 

Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Arizona State Sun Devils, another Pac 12 defector, will make its Big 12 Conference debut as they head to Lubbock, TX, to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Despite previously being in two different conferences, these two teams have played against each other a total of four times. Both programs have won two games apiece. 

The last head-to-head meeting between ASU and TT came in 2017. The Red Raiders were victorious in a home contest by the score of 52-45. In 2016, ASU won at home by the score of 68-55. 

USC Trojans vs. Michigan Wolverines

This Week 4 contest features USC’s debut in the Big Ten Conference. However, they have played against the Michigan Wolverines 10 times and hold a series advantage with a 6-4 record. Their last encounter came in 2007, which USC won. The Trojans have also won three consecutive games against the Wolverines.

Unfortunately, the loser of this game will most likely suffer the second loss on the season, which pretty much ends all College Football Championship hope. 

USC will most likely drop their Week 1 matchup against LSU. Michigan will most likely suffer a defeat in Week 2 against Texas. Which team will pick up the big conference victory and remain alive in the CFP chase for another week?
