All three games were decided by one goal. Denver needed two overtimes to get past Michigan, then beat Wisconsin by the same one-goal margin two days later. The semifinals aired on ESPN2 and the final on ESPN.

Denver has two of the last three titles. Boston University reached the Frozen Four in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and lost the 2025 final to Western Michigan, which beat Denver in double overtime in that year’s semifinal.

- Overtime: full 20-minute sudden-death periods at 5-on-5, with no shootout

Four of the last 12 Frozen Four games went to overtime, and two of them needed a second one: Denver’s 2026 semifinal and Western Michigan’s in 2025. The 2023 title game, Quinnipiac over Minnesota, was settled in the first overtime.
